70 year old lipsters ascending to crazy for you in the underground complex because the surface got too hot

it's a great song and it's probably one of my favorite unreleased songs but the fact that it's been a. 9 years since it was first made and b. the fact that it's been considered for basically every album since and including ultraviolence and it STILL hasn't gotten released just tells me that it needs to die especially after it got rejected from BB which half the album was just re-recorded or "remastered" outtakes... if it wasn't released on BB it's probably not getting released unless she finally decides to release the unreleased songs album

yes to heaven just won't die will it

imagine her singing kim or slayyyter's verse... hair follicles disintegrating across the entire virgo supercluster

blackest day vs dark but just a game

i'm afraid she snapped here

that is a very interesting way of showing appreciation for an indie artist - haven't seen that before

Norman Fucking Rockwell - Post-Release Discussion Thread + Poll
the ocean replied to Elle's topic in Post-Release Threads
i honestly have no idea and jack has produced some very good songs post-NFR because i'd say roughly half of chemtrails & the new track are excellently produced - not to mention some of his work for other artists (not all of it is great but the good stuff HITS) -
ok i'm resurrecting this thread because i had written a paragraph long ish about her in the charli thread but it was obvs off topic so it's going here instead i really like her and i enjoy the majority of her discography however i don't really like how she's being watered down into this hyper positive caricature that is sassy and body positive i found the new album to be very one dimensional and kinda bland which is a shame because i love HER and she's put out a ton of great music and she's incredibly talented... only to release this super flat GP-pandering album that pigeonholes her into this gimmick and it's just really really sad and i'm not 100% sure if she's been fully in control and simply wanted to go that route or if atlantic is pulling the strings after truth hurts' success but either way it seems so uninspired there were a couple tracks on cuz i love you that weren't my favorite but overall it was very solid and i wish she had leaned more into the soul/funk sound than pure pop because her voice is SO suited for that type of sound whether it's super loud and brash ("cuz i love you" or "worship") or more understated ("lingerie") - but even when she did pure pop in the past it still sounded very HER, i can't imagine a lot of other people singing "water me" or "juice" - and don't even get me STARTED on her rapping skills, people really need to check out her first 2 albums (one's on streaming & the other is on soundcloud) because those are some very great songs and i'm saying all this because i'm a huge fan and i love her work and she can absolutely put out better than what she's been doing

i don't think it's an abomination (it's not even my least favorite song on that album ) but considering we already got track 10 at that point it seemed VERY redundant plus putting lizzo on that track was a. very obviously atlantic trying to promote charli by using lizzo (and failing) and b. lizzo's verse was SO watered down it was kinda sad i could probably write a whole paragraph on lizzo's music but this is the charles thread so i'm gonna redirect it back to her
-
the fact that we got a charli x lizzo collab but it was for THAT song... literally any other song it would've been an instant smash but it had to be that one imagine lizzo on like... click or even something like february 2017... wigs flying worldwide

this one is dedicated to @GlorynGore - rest in piss

honestly i think some angels see troye's name and start seizing - y'all do way too much over a twink with a nice voice like
-
part of why i get so defensive over the lipsters who are not keen on lana 2.0 is because i've been in the boat of not enjoying something most other people enjoy and feeling shit for it (in fact it's happened with lana too iykyk ) but at the same time it goes both ways and even if you don't like something it doesn't mean that you should not like that people enjoy the thing
-
there was a brief moment when i was like 11 when i was obsessed with this song - literally any version of it whether it be the original or a remix i would bop
-
looking at this is so shocking tbh madonna pretty much hardcore flopping after 4 minutes to make a very brief comeback because of the super bowl and then flop even harder europe was a little kinder but she freefell after living for love the ageism is very apparent here teebs especially since rebel heart had all the ingredients to smash in the US - madame x is a little more understandable in it's floppage but considering that american life was a major success everywhere that wasn't the US it's still pretty obvious ageism
-
they gave her a brief reprieve for 4 minutes and then they cut her off again (it's her last top 10 hit in the US ) also i do remember hearing give me all your luvin' but that was probably because of the super bowl edit: 4 minutes was her last top 5 hit in the US, GMAYL was her last top 10 which is probably why i heard it

i know that people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones but the thread has gotten VERY strange so let me just post a bop to cleanse the vibes a bit
