  1. This would have been so difficult but luckily I spent all the time in the shower thinking about this!

    1. Mowgli's Road

    2. I Am Not A Robot

    3. I'm Not Hungry Anymore

    4. Seventeen

    5. Scab And Plaster

    6. Froot

    7. Blue

    8. Fear And Loathing

    9. Solitaire

    10. Obsessions

...okay that was still really hard even after already thinking about it for like half an hour

  2. weird but serious question:

can someone explain these lyrics to me pls because I'm confused.

Maybe there's another road for me

Oh, maybe I was wrong all along

Maybe I'm not who I was trying to be

Now that all my dreams are dead and gone

    There's no rush anymore

    Time's on my side

    All my worries are gone

    I'm enjoying the ride

it sounds as if she's accomplished everything she needs in life but how has she if all dreams are dead and gone?... maybe I'm just high/looking into it too much. :tsk:

I think it's all about Marina and her struggles with anxiety and depression.

In the first part, I think Marina is getting quite anxious and depressed about her career as maybe it was not what she hoped it would be (success-wise, or style-wise). She is trying to think of other routes she can take in life, and trying to plan her next move. As this part is quite fast paced, it's like she is rapidly thinking things through and getting quite anxious and worked up in the process.

In the second part, some time has passed and Marina is dealing with her anxiety much better. Rather than trying to plan everything out and worrying about her career, she is happy to let things unfold by themselves. There is no rush to get to the point she wants to be in her career/life, and has learned to relax into the journey! The slowness compared to the first part also is like Marina has slowed down, and she is not trying to rush through life or her thoughts anymore and making dramatic decisions.

GOD I LOVE THIS SONG  :defeated:

  3. bitch i feel like I'm at a baseball game when i hear it

    What why??  :O

The Other Woman is the real masterpiece!

True, I can't argue with that. The Other Woman is amazing, definitely one of her best covers! I love DLMBM, even though it is not my favourite, but I don't understand the hate it gets - it is so beautiful!

  4. This. it feels weird not knowing if an era already ended, but you know, our mother is a messy queen.

Honestly, I thought Lana was teasing Yosemite when she posted that video of HIAB yesterday, because of that butterfly she and Chuck used to reference Yosemite.

What if Happiness Is A Butterfly is a reworked version of Yosemite?  :hooker:

HIAB seems to be about trying to find happiness but it ultimately keeps escaping you just when you think you have found it. As Yosemite seems to be about ultimately finding happiness, I can't see it being on LDR6 (sorry Salvatore  :ohno: ) as Lana still doesn't seem to be at that point. Although she said she will have to find a place for it, I kinda feel like there will never really be a 'place' for it, as her mindset is always changing. So, I can see her reworking Yosemite into a slightly less 'everything is finally perfect and I have found trust happiness' song, and make it more about finding happiness just because of how much she loves this song so wouldn't want to leave it behind completely.

Although I am reaching to Mars, forgive me because this is what the pre-pre-release thread is all about MWAHAHAHAHA

  5. https://twitter.com/Lanapedia/status/978869099639001090

Cherry video is not happening I guess? Whether or not this is true, we been knew I guess cause if she had shot the cherry video she would've teased it by now...

Although I shouldn't be surprised, I will actually be really gutted if we get no Cherry video - it had so much potential!!

But if she is working on a new video for a new song... I guess it's for Bartender or Sylvia? :excited:

  6. I'm not really sure what to think of this snippet yet - I like the "you!" bit, it reminds me of the "OUT OF THE BLACK!! INTO THE BLUUUEEEE!!" chanting!

Although I am hoping MATD4 isn't full on mainstream pop music...

  7. That makes alot of sense now, and it would also make sense why she wanted to include the song change so badly in it! Alot of the songs I believe represent this:

Love: realizing what matters in life

    LFL: being optimistic

Coachella: broadening your perspective to care more about the world around you

GBA: coming together to empower one another

Heroin (not sure about this one) : trying to quit your addictions

Change: trying to be a better person in the chaos that surrounds you

Get free: entering a more positive mind state

The rest of the songs could represent her experiences as she's attempting to change?

    Yaas exactly! :D

I think Heroin is about looking into her past, and where she has been (you know where I've been, now let me show you where we are headed). By looking back into her past, she can see where she wants to go in the future and where she is now (e.g. 13 Beaches, Cherry, White Mustang, In My Feelings). I feel like I am at a point in my life where I am trying to change, and I often look back to where I was (and sometimes regress back to there), so Heroin may also be a regression to when she was at a really low point. I also feel like she thought she would write one last song about Rob, as a farewell to him and her past with him, so that she is able to move forward.

I also like your idea of it being about quitting her addictions - seeing how it ended for one of her biggest inspirations, and trying to learn from his mistakes. LFL is truly a masterpiece!

  8. its because there are so many concepts (witchy hocus pocus, out of black into blue, political awareness, break up w/ my boyfriend )that they are cancel each other. this album had no solid concept

Although even this is probably quite an unpopular opinion, for me LFL did have a clear theme (although I'll admit nowhere near as clear as the other albums)!

For me it was all about trying to change yourself for the better, by looking at your past, your surrounding climate, and where you want to be in the future.
