@@Foolish In some people those contradictions are more apparent than in others, and Lana is definitely one of those people.to me. I believe half of what she says / sings about, but completely mistrust the other half. And what can I say, I totally like analysing all that shit, it's like a hobby.

I have absolutely no clue what you are talking about, I feel sorry for you cunt though xx

Let me give you a response even though you don't deserve one~ a person is allowed to not like everything about an artist they are a fan of~ no one is perfect.  This forum is not the kind of place that (typically) elicits relentless praise for Lana.  I'd say there is equal parts critique.  I don't hate anyone, especially not Lana or else I wouldn't be on a fucking fan forum dedicated to her.  Do I believe what is written about her?  You'd have to be more specific.  I'm guessing you are the type of fan that sends her 10 tweets a day, refers to her as 'your queen', and refutes any plastic surgery/ drug rumors.. good for you, I don't really care!  But maybe you should put less energy into how others feel about pop stars/ your blind obsession and more into some sort of hobby/school work.

Poor Lana, her fans are so mean to her, how dare they have opinions?! I'll be happy to hold her while she cries.

IA, she said the same thing about Elvis. When she saw his face, she knew he'd be an inspiration. Little shallow girl ha ha

I wonder how much she actually listens to these artists she name drops..we've talked about this before.. the whole 'tragic character' theme...seems like one of those calculated things to say in interviews to keep up w/ d ~Hollywood Sadcore~ thing she has going. She names Morrison, Joplin, Cobain, Elvis.. and then she can't really say anything substantial about them in interviews.

The second part of XO / The Host... OMFG!! Outside before is amazing too.

I tend to agree on this. I don't hate Drake, I quite like Take Care actually but I don't think their voices goes well together. Their last song for Kiss Land is very sloppy imo. It's like I've already heard it 94949845 times.

I love this one tho (he kind of stole it from Abel but whatever): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HFIZIcQw2VQ

@@Quentin Thank you for summoning me.

I love The Weeknd, I was completely blown away by House of Balloons when it came out! I loved all 3 mixtapes / Trilogy & my fave songs atm are High For This, House of Balloons / Glass Table Girls (especially the second part, like OMG!?), The Birds Part 1, XO / The Host & Kiss Land. The songs I like the least are those featuring Drake probably because I fucking hate Drake.

I also agree with Quentin, a huge part of his music's appeal is all the detail it has and most of it is lost during live performances, so they're usually kinda boring & lackluster when compared to the albums...

I do! I know that @@elllipsis does too, so you won't be alone. You didn't even liked Belong to the World?

Hmmm, his performances does not do justice to the production of his mixtapes (especially on TV show like Jools Holland). The studio versions are way better imo.

Try those? it's from his first mixtape:

To be honest, I love everything from his 3 mix tapes (which were all put on Trilogy), but haven't liked any of his new stuff for Kiss Land. Hopefully I can discuss him with someone on here haha

That is not true. It is very untrue indeed.

Bob Leone voluntarily managed Gaga on a part-time basis for a good six months in 2006 during which he would book small shows for her, but mainly served as her mentor and consultant on her way into the industry. He had introduced her to a variety of people, Wendy Starland among them, who eventually introduced him to Rob Fusari, a relatively famous producer. Bob Leone helped Gaga and her father negotiating the recording deal with Fusari, successfully. Rob Fusari demanded song writing credits and royalties he did not deserve. This demand got dropped thanks to Leone. One of the songs from that collaboration was "Paparazzi," for instance.

Short while after Gaga signed with Def Jam, and this is where Leone's and Gaga's paths split. There has never been a business arrangement between them, as Leone had different professional commitments at the time and also felt overwhelmed managing her. She therefore doesn't owe him anything legally. Def Jam Records dropped Gaga after just three months, and Leone has had no influence at all with Gaga being signed by Interscope Records, and the following debut album The Fame. In fact, he has been in money trouble for quite some time which is why he desperately sold numerous early Gaga recordings in 2010, which Gaga ended up buying herself.

Now what I wonder, if virtuous Lizzy was so upset back then about Gaga's allegedly ruthless behaviour, why isn't she helping Leone now paying his rent? Now that she's a platinum-selling superstar herself...

Edit: I just read the full article and it basically says the same things I included in my post, but there are two things in particular I find very very ridiculous. First, his comment on Gaga's father being offended by not being her manager is so stupid. And second, does Bob Leone actually think he should be rewarded for landing her a major label deal that was withdrawn three months after and saw no actual results? He probably does now that he's in need of money. Him quoting Gaga at 17 years old saying she wanted to rule to world and whatnot... that sounds very inspired by a Madonna quote. And I doubt she ever said that.

In all fairness, I should have mentioned 'Gaga bashing' too. That's not what I'm aiming for either.

And good question... Probably because they'll publish anything & everything that's even remotely controversial, I guess.

What exactly happened with this guy & Gaga though? Are his complaints legitimate, is he just blaming someone else for his own mistakes, or a mix of both? From an unbiased standpoint please, if it's just Gaga fangirl/boy-ing don't even bother tbh.
