  1. What if they did a cover of Cola? My tushy tastes like pepsi cola hehe
  2. I remember a time when Lana said she might not be putting out another album, her muse had died ect. When I read that I was seriously disappointed because I thought/think that Born to Die is an amazing album, especially for a debut. Paradise confirmed, to me at least, that Lana was really special. Not just because of her voice and songwriting, but her entire sound. No one has a sound like hers and it's is such a breath of fresh air. So some might wanna bitch and complain about the album cover, track list, release date, videos being in color or b&W ect. but I am just fucking happy a new album is coming out! Especially a new album from a remarkable artist such as Lana. The track listing is intriguing and titillating. Just what I expect from Lana!
  3. This version definitely has a retro sound to it. It's signature Lana IMO. Thanks to the cats that ripped and shared it for us!
  4. I like the album art, but it doesn't evoke the title Ultraviolence. I expected the image of her smoking or something. Either way I am still loving this era so far.
  5. I think this is the actual Ultraviolence album cover.
  6. This will probably be Lana's best album to date. I seriously cannot WAIT to hear it. If it leaks, I will NOT listen to it. I want to get the entire album, sit down with some mixed berry wine coolers, and let Lana take control of my mind.
  7. Lana did the same thing the night before doing WC live in full for the first time. So maybe lightning will strike twice and she will perform this new song at her next show?
  8. I think if I remember correctly, this album wasn't recorded in a traditional manner, per say. Instead of all the instruments/vocals being recorded separately then put together, the songs are actually performed in a studio "live." So the songs are actually one take live performances, just not in front of an audience. This might give Ultraviolence an even more unique sound.
  9. I saw that as well. It was interesting to hear they were butting heads before the actual recording began, then once they heard it they were both dancing to it lol. If the rest of the album is anything like West Coast, I think it will be spectacular!
  10. There still might be bonus tracks though! *keeping fingers crossed*
  11. The only issue I have is how I am going to decide which version to have at the top of my Lana playlist hehe. I have all of my Lana music organized and when she ads new version of the same song my OCD kicks in lol
  12. I was thinking the exact same thing! lol I love the first version that was on iTunes, and now this new version is killer as well!
  13. Every generation has had its female icons, some worthy of the title, some probably not. With Lana, she has created her own image and sound, has a unique voice, is a fantastic songwriter. I think Ultraviolence will be a progression and I can't wait hear her artistry unfold.
  14. I must say the initial version released on iTunes is the best one. I don't see the need for the other versions lol. Just my opinion of course.
  15. I'm gay and always felt like Lana's music spoke right to me. Her song deal with that longing for love, something you can't have, or something you shouldn't but still want. West Coast should go viral, it's one of the best songs she has ever done IMO.
  16. I got the initial iTunes version and have been playing it every day since it came out. The song did take a few listens to digest but once I understood where the song was going I could really get into it more. West Coast is very seductive and I just LOVE the drums and guitars. Ugh, Lana is torturing me leaving me wanting more. Now I think I know how her ex lovers feel.
  17. Even though Lana is a "Star" I think she was just trying to be polite answering kinda odd small talk questions. Was this even a professional interview? I would feel awkward talking to strangers like that, too. Where is Lana's body guards??
  18. Ultraviolence is already creating a buzz with the release of West Coast. Lana performing two weekends at Coachella is just the start of the promotion. I'm not worried because I have a good feeling Lana and her team have things very well planned out.
  19. I haven't anticipated an album like this in so long. I just know Ultraviolence is going to be a killer album.
  20. Yeah, Lana's voice is enough to make anything sound ethereal lol. The production is spot on and West Coast still has that Lana mystique. I am on the edge of my seat waiting to hear more from the album!
  21. I read this review and sort of chuckled. Sometimes the audience is so loud it drowns Lana out. It's fun in a way but sometimes a little too much lol. I want to hear Lana sing, not a thousand screeching banshees. Review: Lana Del Rey dazzles in San Francisco The weeks had turned to months, then years. Some probably thought it might never happen. Others surely kept the faith, and their fingers crossed. Finally, the moment was at hand. And these fans acted accordingly: They roared. The sound of pure joy, cranked up to approximately jet engine volume, was what greeted Lana Del Rey as she finally took to the stage in San Francisco on Friday night. It was the torch singer's first official Bay Area gig, not counting an appearance at a record store a few years back. And she'd make it count. The New Yorker, who was on the West Coast to perform at Southern California's mammoth Coachella music festival, delivered a dizzying, hypnotic evening of music for the capacity crowd of some 8,000 exuberant fans at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.
  22. I think Lana might be shelving the string's that permeated her previous albums. I love the strings, but if Lana goes more rock/guitar oriented on this album I will be soooo psyched!
  23. I said aggressive men, not abusive ones. There is a difference. Most men that I see today seem to have their balls clipped and I find it quite sad. Lana's songs and lyrics aren't about metrosexual hipsters that's for sure. I don't see what was shady or condescending in my post either, I wasn't condoning abuse, which I do know something about btw.
  24. Lana might just like aggressive men. I agree with her if she does hehe. Or maybe she is trying to explain through her lyrics the different reasons people might stay with an abuser.
  25. I have purchased Lana's newest HIT single West Coast from iTunes! I only had the chance to hear it once this morning on Youtube before heading out to work today. It was stuck in my head all day, as most of Lana's songs are hehe. Then I get home and see it's on iTunes! I tell you one thing, it's a mind trip. And to be a little blunt, excuse my French, bit this song is fuckin' sick, rockin' and groovin'! It's Lana's "sound" for sure, but from a different parallel universe. It's almost if like Connie Francis and The Ventures did a song together while on L.S.D. Thank you to the fans here on Lana Boards for keeping me up to date with all the little snippets and information!
