Omg just finished my first listen and obsessed already, what a great record! There is something so warm about it, can't wait to blast it on repeat.

Lana most certainly isn't chasing after whatever the music business is doing. She's doing country because she wants to do country. It's obviously a genre that she loves and wants to share her own spin on it. Anyways, covers album out by this Christmas to prep us for a country-esque sound before Lasso blows our minds next spring/early summer

This thread still saying Out September 2024 is so funny, imagine being a casual fan stumbling across this site and seeing that and getting so excited for a moment Perhaps Elle really does know something we don't

Obviously there's a 0% chance but nothing would be more hilarious and iconic if Lasso really was surprise dropping September 20th and all the confusion was deliberate so no one would catch on

I didn't mean the interview wasn't planned, I just meant that if it did happen right before she went on stage her head may have been elsewhere and she rushed her answer. They also may have been late starting the interview, because a scheduled Vogue interview shouldn't delay a concert by half hour if it was planned properly lolol

She's been working on this album for 4 years so I don't think it's going to be half assed (also none of her albums are half assed at all in my opinion.) It sounds like this Vogue interview may have happened backstage right before she went on and caused the show's delay so it's not surprising that she would have a rushed answer with her head elsewhere if that's the case.

I really am so curious about what caused the delay. I hope she didn't lose faith in her initial vision and change the album too much. She seemed so excited when announcing that they're going country, but now she seems to be backpedaling a bit by saying this isn't going to be much of a departure. I know her music has always had some country/Americana/Southern Gothic elements like she said in the interview, but the initial announcement did make it seem like she was entering new territory.

While this is all true, I still choose to believe her every time and tell myself "this time will be different!" LOL

I have such mixed feelings, I really was a September/October/November truther
