  1. There's much to learn, and so much to see Let's all embrace that sentiment as we continue on in this wild world
  2. baby youuu all the things you do and the ways you move send me straight to heaven
  3. Me on my way to NME demanding to know why they gave it 4 stars instead of a well deserved 5 I thought we could count on them
  4. All of us knowing that we're smarter than the critics who don't understand this album
  5. Manifesting this energy for LDR9 Imagine Lana learning to sing backwards...
  6. Me trying to decide if I should participate in this gifgate because there's no way we'll get warning points on the last day of this thread with a gif that includes Lana herself while also remaining scared of the possibility that we could edit: Omg sorry @SweetHenny you beat me to it
  7. Isn't it wild how much time we all spend together, like I feel like I know some of you so well even though I don't at all This pre-release has been so fun, I truly love this place. If any of my besties are ever in town, just hit me up.
  8. Lmaooo they literally just googled "popular Lana songs" and then added Venice Bitch to seem more cultured
  9. I don't think they're referring to Lana's "wokeness" but society's wokeness as the reason why she gets so much abuse. Ya I agree, that's how I took it. Obviously general "wokeness" is a good thing and super important for the world to be more inclusive and good for everyone, but there's a line that's often crossed by many, and it becomes just an excuse to attack others.
  10. Lol right I'm hoping the nuance on what they're saying got lost in google translation or is further elaborated on later in the review, because otherwise they call the album a masterpiece and reference David Lynch which are both very good things
  11. Die Presse: https://www.diepresse.com/6050543/lana-del-rey-lasziv-und-doch-melancholisch I don't speak German and it's behind a pay wall, but what I got from Google Translate: Lana Del Rey: Lascivious and yet melancholy With “Blue Banisters” the singer delivers her second masterpiece this year. A few weeks before the release of “Blue Banisters”, Lana Del Rey switched off her social media channels. She has obviously had enough of the abuse that her consistently anti-feminist attitude has provoked in our time, in which a mass neurosis called "wokeness" is rampant. Del Rey has a very differentiated image of men. She stays true to her preferred topics. And does it in a narrative style that is reminiscent of the cinematic language of David Lynch.
  12. I would say if you've lasted this long, wait until you can listen exactly how you envision with no distractions!
  13. Why do even the good reviews need to throw it all away with some stupid sentence at the end: "It’s so good that you can’t help wonder whether it would’ve had even more impact if Chemtrails never existed at all." Fuck off, Kevin.
  14. I really hope this isn't a sign of what's to come with these reviews I truly don't understand why someone would want to be a music critic if they aren't going to spend time with the album and try to understand it. If you still don't like it after that, then that's fine, but at least explain your critiques.
