Your comment intrigued me so I sped up the song but it was not all that different. It's in their vocal delivery, it's this lazy slow kind of singing. (For me personally that is my fave on the EP so I like it)

It's the second best one imo but it's a good thing we all love different songs she pleases everyone in a diferent way

I really like the new EP With the exception of Cattitude, every song is good. Party up the street is my favorite

I think the lead is supposed to be out in about ~ 15 minutes, ~ ? If my calculations are correct

So pretty. She makes ME want to go to church.

For me Sweet Spot is still the best I love it so much. Although ranking these is getting harder since there is so many. 1. Sweet Spot 2. Blow it All 3. Do Me 4 All I Do Is Cry 5 Broken 6 Call My Number
-
You were right I also would not say it resembles any of her earlier songs
-
I am so shocked this is out already I thought it will come in like, 40 hours. Is it great? Which song does it resemble?

Norman Fucking Rockwell - Pre-Release Thread

It was sent for Alternative radio not Pop radio so obviously it's not going to go top 10 on iTunes off of that, but it is better than the usual radio play she receives which is nothing. -

Isn't it also her most streamed song on spotify? It's one of her signature songs and it's well deserved ... the MV is just perfection -

Also Doin' Time is here and getting some airplay so that is something, give air time to the song so it does what it can do. If she released another song right now it would take attention away from that one. -

There are contracts in place, I think she does have a large creative freedom since that is one of the reasons why Madonna, Lady Gaga and Selena also signed to that label, but when it comes to setting release dates it's not all up to her. -

I had some idea about why she is not talking about the release / sharing any sort of info. She is signed with Interscope records just like Selena Gomez, who is in the same situation: she was "working" on her upcoming album for 4 years now, apparently even 2 years ago it was ready for release but it never came out. (she had some health problems but she is over those now) When asked about the album Selena always says it's coming "soon" and that she is simply not allowed to reveal more information. Once she did a livestream for fans in her car where she accidentally revealed a new song title ("Rare") and then immediately after she said it she was like: aw, I wasn't supposed to say that I will get in trouble. So basically the higher ups at the label restrict how much information she can reveal and since she and Lana are at the same record label, they might be in the same position. -

Maybe she is over the poetry book already, with creative people as they start working on something new the previously created work always becomes somewhat less important. -
It was because insiders convinced everyone she is indeed coming in May. But now they changed their tune, we shouldn't expect anything from her in the next 2 months.
-
she needs to make more songs like I'm not hungry anymore If she served the public would not be so mad at her
-
I think it will come out in August.

She is teaching us what kind of relationships she used to have with all those random older men -
I'd just make her sing unleaked songs so the 12-year-old girls didn't know the lyrics yet therefore they wouldn't ruin any recordings that happen by singing along So: 1. Morricone 2. Yosemite 3. Original Lust For Life 4. Life is Beautiful 5. That 8 second snippet she played with Blake back in 2013 that slayed everyone 6. Bad Girl 7. I'll Be Your Summertime 8. Trans Am the list goes on

It's so cool you had a good interaction and that shirt looks amazing, it's great to read she had a positive reaction to it.
-
I like the the new song, but IMO only Sweet Spot matches the greatness of her earlier work. Heart To Break, Hillside Boys, Turn off The Lights, Close Your Eyes, Slow It Down are just on another level.
-
Heart to break got a small radio push AFAIK, although I don't know what it's AI peak was. Getting radio play is all about industry connections, I mean look at Billie Eilish her single bad guy has been doing absolutely amazing on spotify like in the top 5 since release so she is a big deal and yet, radio really only started to play her like 10 days ago.

People might be overreacting, but she is being unreasonable too...the longer you wait, the higher the expectations are. If she released this album 1,5-2 years after FROOT it would have been fine, but 4 years of wait for this? Come on now. It should have been better after all that time. She should do what Demi & Rihanna used to do just quickly move onto the next era.
