maybe with colloboration they mean 'producers' not 'singers'.. don't forget how few producers she collaborated with in making Honeymoon compared to BTD & Paradise (I'm in for Rick Rubin, the producer of Ride) -

Lana once said in an interview that Teen Idle by Marina is one of her faves! -

Yea, I think lana changed the name from 'Young & in Love' to 'Love' because it was too similar to 'Young & Beautiful'.. ..although IMO I feel like 'Love' as a title sounds too basic & cliche (ever heard of the famous 3D pornographic French movie Love? lol), but it's okay since the music is wonderful (especially the bridge!) & that's all that matters -

I've always wanted to see a 'making of' video on how the recording process of some of her songs is, like some of the artists do (Jon Bellion did for 'All Time Low' and Lady Gaga did for 'Million Reason', documentary style). I mean we always speculate how a certain song might have had been done but I wanna know how she works in a studio like did she record certain parts (bridge/verses/chorus) seperately or in one go, in how many takes, or how were the strings or beats or backing vocals added, how she behaves & guides the producer & sound engineers & gives notes about her vision, et cectra. I bet she prefers to keep it all a mystery & choses to feed us the final product.. but it would be interesting to get a glimpse of the creative process that remains behind the curtains It's sad that the fans ever get to see the found footage of the creative process after the artist is dead (for example Amy Winehouse or Nirvana documentaries). -
the vocals are very natural & I love the minimalistic instrumental..

Critics usually bash ambitious projects.. 'Honeymoon' had no aspirations & was pretty autobiographical & honest.. so they couldn't really say that she was a manufactured product. Have you ever noticed that boring art movies shown in Film Festivals (not for general public) are pretty much loved by critics (although they hardly sell). It was a personal album not meant for masses so she didn't really promote it heavily & only a few people were involved in making it. I believe it to be her transition album. Although it was monotonous & uninspired (at more than a few places), it definitely is a piece of art, no doubt. -

Wow.. nobody hates Lana. We all adore her thats why we are here. They are just discussing the soundscapes & lyrical content they prefer & how they wish LDR5 to sound like since it will be her next release after Honeymoon & she keeps growing as an artist .. so everybodys just curious about where she takes it from 'here'.. no negativity here.. just admiration & love & honest 'personal opinions'. Maybe it's YOU, sir, with all due respect, who is a little judgemental & negative.. today. -

Now, since, she has bought a house near the sea.. I wonder if it will have that kind of beach vibe.. since the pics we have seen have a 'surf blue' tint -

AKA has some beautiful instrumental. Reminds me of the sea & ocean (the man I love, jump, gramma, oh say you can see, put me in a movie, kill kill, for K). I adore 50% of songs in honeymoon but the others are too monotonous for me (God Knows I tried, Honeymoon, 24). C'mon how can you place it above Born to Die (Blue Jeans, Off to the Races, Video Games, Dark Paradise) the production is iconic! -

as far as songrwiting is concerned Born to Die + Paradise > Ultraviolence > AKA & Honeymoon as far as music is concerned Ultraviolence > Born to Die + Paradise > AKA & Honeymoon -

It took 4 years to complete Stadium Arcadium (which had 28 tracks). Lana takes about 1 year to complete a single album with not less than 14 tracks in each album. She gave us 3 albums between 2012 to 2015 (excluding Paradise EP). You do the math. -

True.. if there weren't limits Born To Die would have had about 30 tracks since she had been working on it for so many years and there were a lot (!) of outtakes. Guess she has a certain idea in her mind about where to draw a line. -

Yeah, Burnt Nortan was great. I really wish she does more of those poetry monologue intros in her new music videos. I live for the mesmerising 'Ride' & 'Tropico' & 'National Anthem' intros + outros & that cinematic background soundscape. Personally I want to see her do more surreal & atmospheric stuff than poppy & happier music.. -

I would rather see her do Ain'tcha by Betty Boop Boop since that one is more interesting & jazzy. (Lana has a song titled 'Betty Boop Boop' too so she probably heard that song) -
Beyoncé has a team of songwriters to who help her put her vision into action. All the songs in Lemonade were written by other people, with her guidance. The lead single 'hold up' itself had 15 writers! She just had a co-write credit because she is the boss & representative. There are musicians who write each and every word on their project & are so honest & spectacular. Still they don't get enough credit since they're not 'pop' enough. I have deep respect for musicians who write each & every word on their album 'without' co-writes, including Lana.
