On my second listen, right as Perverts transitioned in Punish, it felt like the whole thing really clicked for me. My favorite song off PD is Ptolemaea and I feel like it matches the vibes of this project a bit.

I’ve never listened to this type of music before but I really liked it! The first track scared the shit out of me but when I listened it was 5 am and pitch black outside. The album gave me Skinamarink vibes immediately, and that movie freaked me out so I think she nailed the whole concept. I loved Punish of course and also really loved Onanist on the first listen. I need to listen to it a few more times to get into the other tracks. It was perfect to listen to while working.

Same with Terrence Loves You! That song still brings me to my knees

I don’t know if she will ever revisit that sound. Seems like she prefers a more lowkey sound these days. But I agree, I miss the atmosphere of Honeymoon. Each song felt like a whole environment.

That vocal take is my favorite. I wish we had it in full

It made me think of when I’m grocery shopping and there’s music playing that I can just barely make out. I think her voice is too low, but maybe it was intended to blend it into the music. The instrumental sounds awesome though.

I knew that was a lie the moment I read it. Part of me misses being a casual fan when I wasn’t so tuned in and didn’t know when she would make these claims. My head was in the clouds from 2011 to 2017

Let’s not start this again

I go back and forth on how I feel about him. Sometimes I really like his production and the work he does with Lana. Other times I feel like it falls very flat. It could be that I just miss the cinematic sound she had, and I felt like after Honeymoon she abandoned it. I still love all her music but pre-LFL had this atmospheric quality that I miss from the more recent work save a few tracks. You also can’t deny his impact. He’s been involved in so many amazing albums from Taylor, Sabrina, Lana, now Kendrick. His influence is widespread and he’s probably the most well known producer right now.
