I've been pulling all-nighters every day this week to cram for finals and write term papers so this is really convenient! 4AM for me! -

I CAN'T SEE THE UPDATED VERSION EITHER -
Because you know, I haven't been torrenting for years and I have no idea how to differentiate between iTunes AAC/320 kbps/FLAC and "bad, low quality" sound files. I have no idea whatsoever! My files are probably poor quality and merely listening to the physical CD will make me love an album that I believe was over-produced and executed poorly!! Thank you so much for your help xx

Who said I bought it??? :creep:

I hate Born to Die. The only track worth saving is Video Games. The production strikes me as very "style over substance". (That's generally how I feel about Lana, now that I think about it.) ~Lush strings over hip hop beats~ sounds good in theory, but it was executed very poorly. It just lent itself to an over-slick, over-produced sound, the production wasn't organic and resembled an assembly-line and it was just.... a disappointment. What you had was, for the most part, an album of songs where the original production was stripped and new production that pandered to that sort of "hip" crowd, with their tumblr-loving aesthetic or whatever was built "around it". The reason why the demos were superb were because it wasn't chasing a sound, instead, the production and lyrics were growing organically along side each other. Basically, tailor-made vs cramming something into a box, that's what it comes down to for me. The former will always win.

I really like the idea of having a short, concise album of 10 tracks of SUPERB QUALITY, no filler. You can only get away with having such a short album if each track is meticulously produced (not to be confused with "over-produced")... I'm talking Yeezus and The Idler Wheel and Funeral, each with 10 tracks. (Metacritic scores respectively: 84/100, 89/100, 90/100, compared to Lana's 61/100 and 64/`100 for Born to Die and Paradise (EP)). This will probably never happen.

@@lola's (or rather, @'s) post had no mention of a five-wing; it was solely a description for enneagram 4, which we both agree on. I would also say that a "rich, imaginative life" and her difficulties connecting to people (and subsequently struggling when she loses them) are not w5 or enneagram 5 traits, but rather, just a general 4 trait across the board, regardless of wing or variant stacking. A brief look at the key motivations of each enneagram type comes in pretty handy: ENNEAGRAM 5 ENNEAGRAM 3 Personally, I would type Lana as a ISFP, 4w3, sx/so.
-
Why do you think she's 4w5? (Not in the context of this quote, but in general). She strikes me as a very obvious 4w3.
-
Not nearly as repetitive and self-derivative as her lyrics, which, to my knowledge, I don't think you've ever made an exceedingly negative rant about? [cue evil's hyperlink-laced response in 5...4...3...2]

Excuse u dignity is a masterpiece -
I don't think she's referring to Red River (in Asia), but rather, the actual Red River Valley spanning Canada and the U.S. I live in this shit-hole

I'm really annoyed right now. Please, for the love of G-d, do not bring anti-Gaga/anti-Lorde sentiments in a sub-forum designated for Lana discussion. PLEASE. The appropriate person has been post-banned temporarily. -

Well, he's not lying... -
apparently there's more NA tour dates to be announced.....
-
I can't really see Lana including any prairie dates in any of her future tours, unless she becomes a major pop girl and not a niche artist, y'know? I think if you have the means, you should definitely go!!
-
I'm assuming you're in the prairies like me? This blows.

@@SitarHero and @@evilentity are right. I can appreciate all the facets of her vocal delivery and especially her prowess as a sort of... "actress" in that sense (see: OTTR), but at the same time, I feel the sole deep-voiced delivery doesn't allow for the variety of sounds and genres that I personally, would prefer her to explore. Let's get that alt-rock album! Also country-twang is so cute: -

I can't help but think that Lana's music would be better if she didn't sing with her lower register so much... -
