  1. V unpopular but I am so here for political/preachy songs on this new record. Personally, I think it's an artist's duty to use his or her platform for good in what ever way they feel comfortable. I think that when she said this record was "for the fans" she meant that it was a record that was supposed to speak to them, their hopes and worries. I think she's falling off of that track a little bit with her more classic Lana songs like Cherry and White Mustang but I like that she's making an effort to be more "political." Especially in these dark times  :creep:

Also, everyone saying it's "forced" can screw off and stop being so cynical.  :crossed:

  2. wildwood is pretty sweet x

I used to live in Ocean City, which is a couple islands/isles above Wildwood omg! My family still lives there though but I go to college on the west coast. Btw Wildwood is disgusting, go to Ocean City instead  :hooker:

I'm ready to hit the beach alone in an attempt to reach this aesthetic

(but Jersey beaches aren't as pretty  :creep: )

    True

The one thing I don't like about this album are the unnecessary voice memos or spoken word tacked onto the end of songs after like 10 seconds of silence. A lot of albums recently are like that and it adds nothing to them

It's a conversation between her mom and grandmother about "control." I actually love it because it feels so personal and it's cute!

I like the rap talk, I would've preferred a bit more singing, but I was hoping the album would be mostly that. I just felt like Z had such interesting production and this album........well.............doesn't.

Yeah I really loved that Z was cohesive yet had diverse production (LFL teas???)

I agree that the album sounds a bit monotonous at times. I think a lot of the songs she left off the album would've added a nice variety but maybe I'm just bitter that they're not on there  :crossed:

I think she may tack on Alt like Lana did with BTD and Paradise (as a standalone EP and edition of the previous LP)!

Really loving her acoustic tracks! I love how she opens and closes the record acoustically. God, this woman is amazing  :toofunny:

GUYS CAN WE JUST ENJOY AND TALK ABOUT CTRL AND THE TRACKS WE DO HAVE, I WANT TO HEAR SOME FIRST THOUGHTS LADIES  :smokes3:

  9. SZA

Broken Clocks was really good but not great and this new track with Kendrick is just ok.....Damn my excitement for CTRL is gradually decreasing  :noparty: Love Galore and Drew Barrymore were so good I think my expectations were too high for everything else
