With all due respect its not that serious. The show was still great, she did try. Her vocals sounded great, she looked great. You would rather her stop doing live shows overall then keep doing a setlist which is admittedly tired but still delivers great performances? I would like her to switch some things up as well but as someone who was there I'm so glad I got to experience it. If you hate it so much stop following threads about the new shows and stick to watching videos from the Paradise tour Omg thank u so much thats so funny! ur a legend ily!! PM me <3

Okay, i’m Back and alive. I got home from the show at like 2 am last night I got there about 10 am, there seemed to be a lot of people who came early in the morning or camped out. The handling of the queue by the venue was by far the worst I’ve ever seen. It was completely disorganized and total chaos trying to get into the pit after getting wristbands. A lot of people fell or were hurt by others trying to run. But I managed to get barricade! Lana sounded amazing and looked beautiful (I loved her dress). She was delivering vocals for sure. The duets were cute but yeah the setlist was trash otherwise. I felt really disappointed that she only sang 4 songs from NFR. Also, the dancers were even more annoying this time. They were in basically every song and were even blocking our view of her onstage at some points. They were really distracting and I just wanted them to leave the stage. Overall I loved the show she put on and I was so happy to be there I just wish she’d have switched up the setlist. It’s super stale at this point

I definitely think California is about Barrie! The lyrics imply a deep emotional connection, she knows about his personal problems and accepts them, offering a welcoming place to work through them via their relationship (Verse 1, "You don't ever have to..") Seemingly, they lost contact for a while after their breakup as it seemed messy and Lana became aware of his increasing struggles via mutual friends, but didn't reach out to help because their relationship didn't end well and she didn't want to impose or exacerbate his issues by reappearing in his life. So instead via the song as a whole she offers him to come back and be together and they can pick up where they left off, putting their prior issues aside. It makes total sense for this song to be an extended offer to Barrie to rekindle their relationship and for him to come back to California to see if it works out. I'm interested to see if Barries puts out an "answer" of sorts to California in a song of his.

I hate the album art I keep looking at it and trying to convince myself to like it will def be replacing it

This is true but I think its just her style of directing that doesn't really work. She could really benefit from having someone to edit her ideas but she seems to want to make all of this stuff on her own. her interpretations are too literal and the direction was really weak in k-12. I'll definitely wait and see but from the videos and the movie i don't have high hopes they'd be any better i think she would be great at making "visual albums" with less of a plot like Lemonade was, she has such a strong eye for aesthetics and definitely could knock it out of the park with that

oh my god the next two albums will also be Crybaby? Why doesn’t she just rebrand herself AS Crybaby and start making music under that name at this point like please come up with something else Melanie that said I don’t think she should continue to make films. This was a cool and ambitious project but it had some serious flaws and it doesn’t seem like she learned much from directing all the CBB music videos. You can still make amazing visuals without them all being half-baked “movies”

The film made absolutely no sense and it just came across super amateurish besides the art design The writing was lacking and the scenes just seemed shoehorned together for the most part but i did some of the music video scenes like Strawberry Shortcake and Drama Club. I already knew it would be kind of off since I haven't really liked Melanie's direction in the other videos, she has some great ideas but a lot of them are too hamfisted or half-baked to work I do really like most of the album tho

Early favorites are Class Fight, Teachers Pet, Nurse’s Office and Lunchbox Friends, maybe with the movie that’ll change

Ugh I fucking love her house it’s so beautiful, every time I see it on her ig stories I get so jealous

I definitely don't think she's a millionaire, she only has one album and it wasn't a commercial hit like SZA. She probably used whatever was left of the Crybaby funds from sales and touring and whatever else and I'm sure her label funded a lot
