  1. Each song has it's own identity, but which go well together? Only rule is that it can only be a set of 2 atm, and maybe a short description as to why.
  2. i've had this instinctual theory that this song'll be a great introductory piece, not cus its just the intro single, but bc it's got such a variety of topics that she sings about, and that it's probably a good indicator of which themes/ topics she'll continue to sing about on the album. maybe it'll be the intro, and also sort of post-credit track that wraps everything up together.
  3. movement, ever since the rockafella snippet, reminded me of just that, and how active BTD sounds.
  4. i get what you mean, but i have to slightly disagree. this song's like an entire film, the violins and their melisma echoing a sea voyage, waves even, the echo in the vocals, the steady march of the beat. the trickling of the piano like cold water drops, the dismay you can hear in her voice, the "over it" ache, but still w gentle hesitation in it, the lifting power of surrender amplified by the background vocals. the parallelisms between the themes of death, sex, transformation, holding on and letting go, the slight angelic vocal run reminiscent of a mariah carey vocal (an artist's songwriting and ability forgotten by public perception). personally, it's a perfect song to recollect of mature fun by the beach. it's a breezy track that juxtaposes its subject matter real well. like a sea net billowing that feels all soft til it envelops you. a diff vibe from her other stuff, but it's still an experience, amplifies an experience.
  5. I wonder when someone’ll make a snippet of someone just plain burping to have us in awe like, holy shit Lana burping sounds so good, but then it wasn’t even figuratively her
  6. It’s been a month and a few days, still loving the song. I’m honestly kinda surprised at how much it’s still holding up since it’s technically not pop/upbeat. I think there’s just a balance and longevity to it, and it can resonate, personally, kinda like re-reading your journal or seeing patterns in different things. As much as I’d like to know the tracklist info etc. we’ve got plenty from the cover visuals and vinyl colors, 2 months and we’ll be alright. The song’s currently more than enough, but if true info’s gonna come, then I’ll wait for some kind of post or something. At this point some’d rather entertain themselves to others’ expense, find ur own supply, and if u look past things, it’s really nbd, just a matter of patience.
  7. i hope they remember their laughter after this album shuts them up beautifully. i hope their jaws drop
  8. Baby’s playin Jesus again, telling them i’m just, an American whore He wanna help me up but won’t admit he’s the one who, put me down first before he wanna help me up, but i wont play his game no more, no more, no ~ going back to the golden state back to San Francisco i know he loves to love but I can’t take it no more, no more i ain’t his sugar queen no more no no Pre- but i love it, when he holds me close tells me everything about the world, like I’m his favorite girl but it don’t mean anything, if he goes around telling the world that i’ve got problems that i’ve already known Expecting me to let go when he calls me his american whore oh oh oreeee
