    my signed copy of sucker arrived today! for anyone interested, there's the booklet/poster and then there's a photo of the album cover that goes in front - she signed that instead of the case, thankfully  :defeated:

     

    also, mess @ her thanking Igloo in the booklet....gross

    When she says that in February, it must be this year don't you think?

    If it was more than 15 months away I think she would only say "It's in the works" or something like that

    I just want to believe :defeated:

     

    if it's from the interview i'm thinking of (NY Fashion Week) she never says anything about February??????? i swear if this is true i will be so thrilled

    I think they meant LDR online who, more often than not, has been a credible source for this kinda stuff. Regardless, they do make it clear in the tweet that this is unconfirmed. She said she'd finished UV by Jan last year and we didn't get so much as a lead single for another three months.

     

    she technically didn't lie, she had finished it by then but then met Auerbach + so it was delayed

    I don't think she ever said that. I only remember a bunch of shit about how perfect it was for Ultraviolence. Also don't think she ever said DLMBM will be the last track?

     

    The closest thing I can find about it is "I'm doing a cover of "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood." After doing a cover of [Jessie Mae Robinson's] "The Other Woman," I like summarizing the record with a jazz song. I'm having fun with my interpretation", but even then she's just saying that it was nice to end with a jazz song, not that she will definitely do this for Honeymoon.

    I organize mine by having the b-sides as a disc 2 for the album (because it's been released like that in the U.S. too) and have the Ghost EP separately. "Rancid Girl" remains unreleased to me.

     

    I like that idea but the B-Sides are SO different to NTMT that I hate coupling them together...Ghost is such a mixed bag without them that it only makes sense imo to include them there + I've only included Rancid Girl because it's a Ghost/I'm Not Alright outtake (i think that was the album title at the time?)

     

    i wish we got the full I'm Not Alright album though, i'd like to hear what Boys, 24 Hours etc would've sounded in the Ghost style, plus the title track would've been bomb

    been re-listening to NTMT - it's such a gorgeous, powerful album. psyched for Guardian + new music

     

    also, i got bored/annoyed at having a Part 1 to the B-Sides and no other parts, so i repacked it + Rancid Girl into the Ghost EP to make a "fuller" EP in the same vein as Lana's Paradise. i tried to make it go slow -> fast -> slow, apart from the ending (its criminal not to end it without EiE). i'm a bit kinda ehhh about Can't Say No cause it doesn't really fit with the other tracks cause it's too rock-y, but it's also not rock-enough for NTMT??? same with I'm On Top, except that's too pop. here's the tracklisting:

    This is interesting...

     

    " I feel that the three records were so heavy and autobiographical. It’s been so cathartic. I like to use my previous work as a jump-off point to do something new. I’m ready to go into more of a ‘Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds’ surrealist place. That’s why I really do like what I heard about Fellini and all of the movies that were overdubbed and the actors were counting and not saying lines. I couldn’t believe that.
