  1. I said the same thing about someone on here who posted various gifs instead of any contribution or opinion on this thread yet you were one of the people in agreeance with others who lambasted me for that.

    Pot, kettle.

It's the manner in which you did it. Commenting on someone's appearance is hardly constructive and is plain arrogant.

    *anyway*

I kinda wish she hadn't said anything about the album yet. It would've made the wait easier and would've helped UV have a longer life.

  2. the deluxe edition is (supposedly) only getting two extra tracks  :deadbanana:

    1. Everything We Touch

    2. Glitter

    3. Games for Girls

    4. Julian

    5. Angels (Above Me)

    6. Peppermint

    7. Beloved

    8. Hard for a Man

    9. Wilder Than The Wind

    10. Nothing But a Heartbeat

    11. Skylights

    12. Love Is The Loneliest Place (Bonus Track)

    13. Electrify (Bonus Track)

honestly, i think i'm gonna put GfG as a standalone single and swap it on the album for BITD. it doesn't sonically fit at all with the other tracks & drastically pales in comparison in terms of lyricism. all the other tracks deserve a place on the tracklist as well (Maybe You, Feels Like We Only Go Backwards, Instant Crush, Fool of Me, FUCKING ECLIPSE)

  3. loool i realise that, i know many alcoholics and i think its highly unlikely that they would be making the main love in their song a bottle of whiskey after 10 years of sobriety

if so thats a bit sad of her lool... dont believe it at all

different people react to things in different ways...just because the people you know wouldn't doesn't mean that everybody wouldn't and this doesn't devalue their experiences in anyway

can't believe i just had to explain that....

  4. Pushed to April 6th. Hilarious.

    Fucking hilarious.

(But glad we're getting it before)

i don't think it's their fault, it's more to do with them getting dropped/leaving their record label (i think it's Sony???), so they had to push it back again

  5. I'll KEEP saying it... He's the male Lana del Rey. I so wish for them to fall in love and have children  :brows3:

He honestly is! The In Your Prime EP is sonically (and kinda lyrically) similar to BtD...a collab version of Video Games would be holy :pray2:

Is there any news on an album or anything? I need more!

  6. y'all have to hear the Phantogram remix of Break The Rules. it's REALLY GOOOD :hair: yeesSSSS.

i love the last drop, ugH. how it goes from the album version into the remix. gdhskzx YES

you can even download it from that site in 320kbps. y'all should do that RN

that was...HOT! i really link the /punk/ vibe of it and the guitar at 3:15. thank for shariiiiiiiiiiiing

  7. I kind of find these videos much more artistic, entertaining and meaningful. I could say the Froot era videos could be as pure and visually stunning (maybe not Happy and Immortal), but Lykke really has a rather creative and conceptual vision.

Definitely, Lykke's videos tend to have much more symbolism and meaning to them than most music videos. On the surface, a lot of them seem kinda simple (I Follow Rivers), but they always have a very deep message to them. Her videos are a work of art themselves, even without the music.

Still, I do like the IAR vid!

  8. The video is one big, grandiose WTF.

In every way. Random, overacted, bad directed, bad cut... The underwater scene, the jellyfish? WTF???

i dont think it was random imo, it really fits the song. "i'm a ruin, yeah imma ruin you" - video is set by a volcano. red cape - symbolises blood and love. marina repeatedly covers her face with the veil - shamefulness. jellyfish are purple - she jumps into the water dressed in purple, suggesting she is "deadly" like jellyfish.

also, was anyone else REALLY reminded of the Gunshot and I Follow Rivers videos by Lykke Li????

  9. I'm not going to argue my point, music is open to interpretation by anybody and my opinion doesn't really matter.

please explain, i want to hear how exactly she is "contradicting" herself, how the album has "no underlying themes" and is worse than the previous two

  10. That's not the point. The point I'm trying to make is that even TFJ had underlying themes, and to a point, the first four songs contradict themselves.

    ....

    ....

    ....

FROOT - sexuality, death and relationships

    Happy - happiness and relationships

    Immortal - death and relationships

    I'm A Ruin - relationships

i literally cannot see your point

  11. EH had a story and a concept, so far FROOT just seems to be random songs that don't fit together and just seem out of place and messy.

??????????????????????????? that's because it was a concept album and the whole point was that it was supposed to have a story???? she said Froot wasn't a concept album so that's why there is no concept to it lol...besides, a lot of the songs do subtly link to each other (there's a post on MB about it somewhere) in their lyricism

  12. Lucid Dreaming will be released via A Deux Records (the girls' own label) on 23rd February in Scandinavia. On 6th April, the album will get a worldwide release on an "official" label (I'm not sure which one) with a deluxe edition that has extra tracks.

  13. Video Games

You are a true romantic. You tend to idealize situations and put people on pedestals. You yearn for a romance that is perfect in every way, heaven on earth. Whether you find it or not, you have an honorable heart and you deserve only the best.
