    I really like the Cedric Gervais remix of Summertime Sadness. I like EDM, mostly whilst drunk and it's just fun 2 dance 2 in da club. yall can get off ya high horses

    I totally agree with this! I don't understand all the hatred for Cedric, I quite like his remix of SS. #stopmusicelitism

    Does anybody else think that 'For You' might be an alternative name for 'For Charlie'? To me, it sounds like she is singing more about a close friend/family member as opposed to a boyfriend, so it sorta fits...

    I disagree with this, I think she has closed a chapter. The BtD era was very don't-leave-me-I-can't-live-without-you. This snippet of West Coast seems to be I-am-leaving-you, a la Kill Kill and possibly Butterflies (Part 1).

     

    Can't wait to hear it in full on Monday!

    I'm pretty sure the other 4 tracks are completely different. I mean she released EVOL and we didn't know about it at all.

     

    And Like the other girls definitely isn't a demo for Sex Yeah. Marina's demos are always very similar to the final thing.

    I think Roger means that LTOG is a demo in the same vein that the 1st demo of Sex Yeah was; the verses were filled with 'oooooh' in the Sex Yeah demo but were later replaced with lyrics, so it's possible that the same thing happened with LTOG.

    - Like the Other Girls

     

    I know some of these were not meant for EH but Living Dead was included on EH even though she planned to include it on Die Life (the original second album project)

     

    And I think Like the Other Girls was just a demo for the producer, so he could sell the instrumental (sold to the mexican musician Ximena Sariñana for the song "Shine Down", the instrumental is exactly the same), but maybe it was a very rough demo like Sex Yeah demo #1 which lacks of a chorus section.

    I'm guessing there was also a title track for Die Life too, but I'm not completely sure.

    Don't you remember she mention she would release all the EH outtakes somehow? I don't really think that "EVOL", "Just Desserts" and "Electra Heart (Demo)" are the only ones...

     

    Btw guys, don't you all see Marina in a brighter state of mind? She looks very different know compared to her angsty TFJ days and those suicidal beauty queen EH days... can we expect something very different lyric-wise?

    I know some people pointed out a year-or-so ago that she was tweeting a lot about death and dark-imagery (which makes me excited) but now I feel a different vibe on her, like more playful and brighter. 

     

    I think she said she *hoped* she could release them. I wish she did.

     

    And I agree about the happiness! She seems less dark and more TFJ-style quirkiness now. Her tweets and Instagram posts also seem far cheerier.

    I can't. It's all the fault of her team. They made it even more exciting when they took down the times but now a nobody claims they'll play it on their radio show on Monday? Omg, no way. Sorry, but I can't believe anyone.

    I'm sorry, what? How on Earth is Fearne Cotton a nobody? She is literally one of Radio 1's most famous DJs , whilst the station itself is famous worldwide. I think you need to chill out a bit. We have a date for the first listen of it now, that's better than what we had two days ago.

    i ain't listening to radio 1 for a whole 2 hours

    i hope its near the start of the show

    same, but it probably won't be. Fearne will mention it at the start and keep mentioning it but will probably play it about 12-12:30ish.

    FOR ANYBODY CONFUSED ABOUT THE NEWS:

     

    It has been confirmed by Annie Mac (Radio 1 DJ) that West Coast will have its worldwide premiere on Radio 1 between 11AM-1PM GMT on 14/04/14 during Fearne Cotton's show. That's 6-8AM EST, 3AM-5AM PST and 8PM-10PM ACDT, if my maths is correct!

    the most annoying thing about Heartcore not getting released is the fact that in May last year she said we would get it in June....that was the last time it was mentioned and ever since then she, nor Sol Republic have said what has happened to it....

    It would just be nice if they had told us it had been cancelled but making wait all this time thinking it still might happen is annoying

    Yeah I totally agree with that. It's unfair that neither have said what happened to it.

    Marina's tweets are pretty much shallow/quirky thoughts, she doesn't use it for music news or for connecting with fans (sadly).

     

    Don't expect her to promote this release, I believe she's not releasing it as a "Marina and the Diamonds" release because she's "done" with Electra Heart (the song, the era and the character).

     

    We can only hope and pray that this project doesn't get shelved or cancelled, it could happen... not likely but it could happen.

     

    I'm still mad at her because the whole "Electra Heart" documentary/concert footage has been shelved and most likely won't get released... and also she hasn't released the rest Electra Heart/Die Life outtakes, b-sides and demos :(

     

    sigh... but well... ready for the next era.

    I think she'll still promote it some how; she tweeted about HTBAHB on Glee even though I think she was against it being on there. When the EH EP is released, I'm expecting a tweet/retweet of information about it. She isn't that silly to not recognise that her work is going to be out there.

     

    HEARTCORE is something that we know she was passionate about and for *unknown* reasons has been unreleased. She teamed up with SolRepublic on it, so it's possible that they were the ones who chose not to create it

     

    And why would she released the Demos/Outtakes for??? She never said she would and I'm pretty sure that she never would do something like that...

    I've been listening to this song on repeat lately and oh my! This song is so fucking CLEVER! The first time I heard it, I didn't think much of it, but once I started really listening to the lyrics, I realised how insanely intelligent it is. The melody is so upbeat, so you'd think it's a happy song, but it deals with so many dark issues - teacher/student relationships, drugs, alcohol etc - and Lana sings about it all in such an innocent voice. I love it so much; everyone on this planet needs to be aware of this track.

    it's not really *her* project, the song is going to be released as BetaTraxx ft. Marina and the Diamonds. beta has most of the creative control over the release, but i'm expecting marina to tweet (at least) when it is released.

    it's so awful when an artist puts out a standard version, 2 bonus tracks that are 'album only' on iTunes, a deluxe box set version only available to a certain country, and a target edition with 3 tracks that aren't available anywhere else.

    i wasn't speaking of anything in particular, but you get my drift.

    I totally agree with this, I prefer to buy CDs as opposed to downloads so it's REALLY annoying when it's impossible to get certain songs physically (im talking yo you, Burning Desire). The Target exclusives are awful too; just release a Deluxe and Standard edition that are available EVERYWHERE.
