This song is quintessential UV. It embodies everything this album IS. The rock reference, the lyrics, the production, her vocals after the second verse, the title... I honestly want nothing else than this song to leak in HQ. This could possibly become one of my fav song she ever made

I also hear daddy and woman I think it's from the man's perspective, which also makes sense with the rest of the lyrics : Men are stereotypically depicted as not wanting serious relationships compared to women, "I don't want to fall in love"/"I don't want to marry you"...) Also she sings "I don't want your cherry" which could refer to "popping your cherry" meaning loosing your virginity “popping” of the hymen during vaginal sex (penis-in-vagina intercourse) which could describe something a man could do to her. I think the chorus is a paraphrase of something a man would tell her which also makes sense with The Doors reference (Love Her Madly)

Idk her team is so bad they probably still think vlogmas is hype lol It was just a thought tbh it made me so confused Ofc she is but their target audience is like 13 yr old middle schoolers, hence the mindfck haha but I was absolutely not judging tho

Okay y'all I just saw a tiktok (A bts from the billboard awards) of Lana fangirling over Alisha Marie, Remi etc (American YouTube girls) Like she legit SCREAMED ALISHAAAAA before stating she loves to binge-watch her vlogmas videos ??? Is it just me or it's a) a marketing stunt by her team or b) accurate but like so weird to me djhdhjjkd idk I never imagined Lana watching vlogmas on YouTube and if I ever did, not as a 37 yrs old like ?? what do you think ?

Hi all, so I'm new to Lanaboards and I just saw this thread, I'm so happy to see all of the support for meemaw, I've been a stan since Golden Age came out and I honestly think she's the next big voice in alternative music, maybe that's why she's been compared to Lana which I think is kind of ridiculous tbh. I mean Lana has been an inspiration for probably every pop/alt artist since 2012 so comparing ethel to her is basically the same as comparing Billie to Lana... If you listen to lyrics, production, aesthetic etc she's very different from lanita. On another note, I'm so happy and amazed about how quickly she became big like it's kind of insane, in December 2022 she had 90k on Insta and 500 000 monthly listeners on Spotify and now she's at 200k+ and 1.8 mil listeners. She's doing runway shows, magazine covers etc, I just know she's gonna be even bigger after all the festivals she's gonna do this summer. I'm also very interested to see how she's gonna play festivals. Her shows are so intimate, unique, she finds her strength by creating a safe bubble and connection with the public which is so different from festival shows so can't wait to see how she plays that. Also, she is the nicest human being frrrrr I've been a journalist for 2 years now and I've met and interviewed other artists and honestly she's one of the kindest I've met, I usually spend 20 min for an interview and we literally chatted for an hour she's very cool. I'm so happy we got to talk, I knew she would be big and I feel It's just the beginning Anyway, stan Ethel, stream preacher's daughter and we are NOT ready for preacher's wife, I think It could be her breakout album.

I mean I've been working in the music industry for a few years now and I can definitely say that registering a song does not mean it's meant to be released. It just means that IF there is any commercial use, the song will be protected. And it's also common to see a song being registered and coming out YEARS later or not even coming out at all, it just prevents loosing any royalties. (That's what happened with I talk to Jesus) Big publishers like UMG always do early registration to avoid loosing any money, even if finally it's not coming out In short : I think Lana worked on a new version for OB, like she does for all her albums hdskcjd and UMG is now registering it. But sadly it truly doesn't mean it's getting released, we basically don't know what she wants to do with it, like all her other records lol (I hope it's getting released tho, or at least added to the setlist)

I honestly think she's adding it to the setlist this summer but I doubt she'll ever release it. I think her team just registered the song to avoid being bootlegged which happens a lot during festivals. Maybe I'm wrong and It's been reworked to appear on a deluxe version of OB but then again I hardly believe Lana's gonna release a deluxe, she hasn't done that since UV and I don't see her doing it again. As for the record with unreleased tracks, we can still hope but I don't believe her anymore lol edit : it won't stop the bootleg but at least they'll be able to press charges if physical copies are being sold

How do you sort Lana's unreleased music?
loveyoumadly replied to TrashMagiq's topic in Lana Thoughts
I think I'm really gonna try to do concept albums too, even if I have to include released music inside, in oder to be cohesive. For now I have one, I tried to be harmonic in sound and lyrics I kind of Imagine this album being a transition between UV and HM Angels Forever (Lana Del Rey's Divine Questionings) Side A Fine china (John Ford) Madly Wild one Side B Yes to Heaven Dragonslayer Melancholia Interlude (Ultraviolence instrumental) Side C Pink Champagne Wait For Life Interlude Living Legend (demo) Side D Let There Be Light (God Knows I Tried demo) Ave Maria Angels Forever, Forever Angels What do you guys think? I'm open to suggestions too <3 (I wanna make some visuals too, if y'all have an idea of which photoshoot I could use)
