i actually think the second weekend will be radically different. i'm expecting at least some cowboy themed props, father john misty and nikki lane. no reason for her coachella website to be lasso themed if there'll be nothing related to it on the performance -

tbf, once the album was released there were some critics and people online complaining that those songs were too different from the rest of album, so i can see where she was coming from at the time -

well. let's just say 2020 was a weird year for lana -
I don't think so. She's said herself the industry was going country, so she was well aware of this trend when she announced the album. As per the general public, maybe they'll be tired of the sound when the record comes out, but it's not like Lana needs them either lol

still holding out for a new song @ coachella

hope this era is long enough for a stagecoach performance next year

it's for hot summer nights sitting by your back porch and fingerpicking the banjo while watching fireflies

thank god. she sounds really sweet here but i'm not into her music

And Chemtrails was announced the day NFR dropped.

a song with big ensemble choruses would be a nice nod to classic country music and its communal natural. dolly parton's applejack (https://youtu.be/UDepGShjBNA?si=yHJWRDOVua3JqsA5) features a whole bunch of backing vocals, ranging from family and friends to country legends. this really speaks to the current state of lana's career, as she's attuned to her roots but also in good terms with her peers, many of which would kill to be in one of her tracks. i'd love something on that line for the features, and can totally see it happen.

i wonder if she's still working on that second book.
-
yeah, i usually love the styling, bts videos, and whatnot, but the actual pictures irk me for how edited they look that said, this is usually the case with magazines and ads. maybe the final results would be different if she was working on an album cover

Country music was huge in american charts during the summer, and the Billboard event she was at featured plenty of up and coming country musicians. I wouldn't read too much into that statement
