  1. When the secret project is a grunge album and she releases Heart Shaped Box/ Old Age (with the Hole lyrics not Nirvana version) as a double single vinyl... you know since we're all just blatantly predicting stuff we wish for but isn't happening
  2. so true bestie. Also works as naptime if on loop
  3. if/when he turns out to be gay.....lana's streak continues
  4. This right here. Don't get me wrong The Dems annoy me on a good day and piss me off often, but the Republicants (I had a different vowel but warning points being what they are) are evil morons so until we move beyond first past the post I can't really seriously consider a third party, especially one with organizational messes like the Greens. I will say a lot of Jill Stein criticism is silly or in bad faith. I actually do admire her a little but the facts being what they are, voting for me is more of a defensive act then a offensive charge.
  5. Lasso: Lanaboards Exclusive Vinyl shipped a month before everyone else. Must have an active non banned account. All dupes will be banned in the multiple accounts thread by lana del rey herself. So don't get greedy
  6. I agree with all of this though I would just like to point out as the resident CLove Expert that Courtney was joking when she said she unstanned over that cover. In the original context it was clearly not serious, though she is a huge John Denver stan so it would not surprise me if she didn't care for the cover. She praised Lana not once but three times in Courtney Love's Women her BBC6 podcast which premiered around the same time in April (And is amazing. 10 hours long and worth every second. Even if you can't stand CLove its an excellent history of woman in music and an excellent playlist.) She said she cut back on listening to Lana bc she finds her too inspiring and she is presently working on the longest album in rock and roll history with Video Games producer among others. Wants to differentiate from one specific muse. That said, I FOR ONE DID NOT LIKE COUNTRY ROADS. Its fine a thing covers should never be. Brilliant or bad. It should always add to, recontextualise, or highlight the quality of the original. Covers are a conversation and the CR cover did not have anything to say IMO
  7. Back in 2020-2022 this calliber of bait would get atleast 20 likes. Sad!!
  8. One last thing: She references a Lizzie/ May song we don't have produced by Mertens... whether anyone will get that reference is a whole other matter
  9. Okay I was visited by the Ghost of Lana Future in a Dream and she told me this about LASSO: It is an acronymn tho I am sworn not to spoil it. Its very demure and coquette. One of the songs is parochial trap jazz. Many illusions to drugs and sex. More swamp than desert. This is a change from the earliest versions of this album. UMG was not fond of this record to say the least. Hence why its been in works for so long. It has shifted a lot since starting. In 75 percent of timelines this is its final form. I've heard the other timelines. Big Swings meaning big hits and big misses. You'll either LOVE it or HATE it. Top or bottom of ranking for sure. She did write a gay cowboy ballad but its unclear as of now if it will be on the album. Think Yosemite and Life Is Beautiful meets Wait For Life and Cherry. I know that is confusing but believe me when it leaks or is released you will know what I mean. Lana will be doing a huge career shift after this album- thats why everything is in such flux. You will all be shocked. The guests may surprise you. This is not her Nikki collab album. thats its own thing. That isn't to say she'll be missing from this era: she will be involved in one way or another. Theres a song that will absolutely spark controversy like the old days. Personally I'm here for it but some of the newer girlies may jump ship and go stan some pop star whose much safer...... ALLIGATOR MUSIC VIDEO>>>>> DID YOU EVER DOUBT?
  10. Lana should have a cologne line...... her masc gay fans matter too. Otters like myself LOVE lana

  13. For sure. Seventies pro- gay allies seem borderline reactionary. A lot has changed very quickly... On topic more generally, I genuinely hope Lana will tap back into the populist perspective she was so good at in her pre record music now that she has such a large mass of fans. "We're famous in Arkansas" as she said some months back. It could be a genuinely huge cultural reset given how big and influential she and her acolytes and pretenders are now.
  14. Gentry had a similar aesthetic to Lana, is associated with Elvis, and also famously dissapeared completely like Lana flirts with every now and again.. As for the film while its not my interpretation of the song.... the song is intentionally open ended. I's more about casual cruelty than the suicide/murder itself. Nobody at the table notices their daughter/sister dying inside at the conversation....never mind the lack of sympathy for Billy Joe himself. That said Gentry was involved with the movie and did not show any disapproval of their interpretation. Now wherther thats because she liked it or because she's not the type to comment on anything publicly we will never know.
  15. If its southern gothic an Ode To Billie Joe cover might be very interesting....especially with the parallels between Lana and Bobbie Gentry
  16. LDR 13 is Nuclear Radiant Socialist Opera
  17. I actually am excited about the idea of a llighter album. It is easy an artist to get trapped in the mythos of darkness being more artistic or important or deeper. That's nonsense. There is a balance to it all. An alchemy. A synthesis. Especially after such a dark and vulnurable masterpiece such as Ocean Boulevard Lana (and us) likely need a palate cleanser. You need both the light and the dark. The yin and the yang. Ultraviolence and Honeymoon. It also will likely lead to a lot more music. The type of brutal honesty and openess of OB is absolutely draining to a creative. Its important to remember that The artist makes the art. the art does not make the art. The channel has an impact on the message.
  18. From the makers of Catholic Psychedelic Synth Folk comes all new Pentacostal Opioid Accoustic Pop
  19. I want multiple cowboys in my alaska size king bed yet we will both probably have to settle for some hipster nonsense.
  20. My dutch girlfriend, who works for UMG Kazakstan, and is easily the most demure ex model in all of continental eurasia, says the september 13th date is incorrect. It's actually coming on the 11th and will feature an EDM remix of Boom Like That featuring Charlie XCX and Kamala Harris.
  21. that would make my late summer early autumn vibe immaculate
  22. Its a classic lana interview in that I now have far more questions than I did before reading it. Perfection
