I said this before near the beginning of the thread but her music really isn’t that similar to Lana’s. There are def little influences but that’s normal cause Lana’s literally one of the most influential artists of the 2010s. For example I do think her music’s Nicole Dollanganger inspired (not to an extreme point tho) and Nicole herself is inspired by Lana, so obviously that’ll translate in some way. But I wouldn’t say she herself is very Lana inspired. There are a lot of albums that have come out in the past years that I’ll listen to and think they’re obviously influenced by Lana, but Preacher’s Daughter isn’t one of them tbh.

anyways, my entire point is that if it doesnt happen now it’s never gonna happen, but tbh i don’t really care that much. the songs she created for that album will forever be some of her best work and it would be very cute and kinda iconic if it did get released eventually but at the end of the day em songs are already in my music library so it wont change much for me lmao. &to add to this- this is probs gonna make some eyes roll in this thread cause some people are very tired of hearing about xcx world but I do still think that if XCX World or w/e it would’ve been called was ever released with full creative control it would’ve been her best album. an entire Charli x SOPHIE album is just a recipe for excellence and that will never not be true . best producer she ever worked with & it resulted in some of the best songs she ever created. we’ll never stop talking about this whatwouldvebeenan album cause it really just is That good. and people can stay mad about it! Honestly at this point of her career I don’t think it’s that unrealistic for it to actually happen. The leak was def very rough for her but recently she seems to recognize more how this scrapped album is such an iconic part of her career and has been having more fun trolling her fans with it lol. I know this XCX World release conversation is very tired for many but I really haven’t ruled it out as a possibility yet. But also idk how it all would work in terms of legal mess so maybe I’m wrong idk

I’ve said it before but now is the perfect time for her to drop XCX World with the special shows coming up and her playing it before the CRASH tour shows and her contract with Atlantic ending and all. If it doesn’t happen now then I feel like we should all officially let go of the idea of it ever being officially released (at least not any time soon) bsjdjf it’s feeling very if not now then never

The way when I first heard this album I really thought I was about to experience a showstopping masterpiece cause Strangers by Nature and My Little Live were So good like I had a whole moment where I was like “I’m experiencing a masterpiece for the first time right now oh wow” but then not a single song after that was doing anything for me except All Night Parking which was an interlude Cry Your Heart Out was cute tho

that pitchfork review went into 0 depth it’s like the person that wrote it skimmed through the album once and wrote an entire review based on what they remembered lol. also the fact that they mention several times that the album’s 90 minutes long when it’s literally 76 minutes long just an all around bad review
