Oh I absolutely blame Tommy's crusty ass for this album not being all that, but tbh it has some cute moments (Dreamlover, title track, Now That I Know). I don't think the rest of the album's bad, they're just very generic early 90s ballads. And I guess that's exactly what the people wanted back then cause it's her best selling album / one of the best selling albums of all time . But yeah def at the bottom.

Mariah doesn't have a single bad album tbh but this is my current ranking (changes from time to time but Butterfly forever number 1): Butterfly (my favorite album ever made by any artist) Charmbracelet (her most underrated hands down it's so excellent almost Butterfly level even) The Emancipation of Mimi (but wow what a moment) Caution (the fact that she released this 28 years into her career... yeah she's a legend) Daydream (has insanely high highs but I like Caution better as a body of work tbh. would be higher if she had more creative control. should've had Slipping Away on it) Rainbow (imagine if it wasn't rushed... fearing for the potential) E=MC² (most of the single choices this era were horrible but loooove this album. heat should've been on the standard edition) Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel (used to be my least fav but grew on me. kinda obsessed with it now. still don't like the cover.) Mariah Carey (higher than the rest cause it had Prisoner) Me. I Am Mariah…The Elusive Chanteuse (used to be higher on my ranking but I listen to it the least tbh) Emotions (surprised it's this low but when looking at the facts and the evidence it makes sense) Music Box (not as bad as people paint it out to be. it just doesn't have that same spark as the other albums tbh)

I hope All Stars 7 is a success. This very much so feels like a test round. If it's a success there will probs be another all winners season with an even bigger prize and potential bigger winners (Bob, Alaska, Bianca) wanting to come back after seeing how good it was for the queens on AS7. Spoilers about the format, not about who gets eliminated / how the queens do during the season or anything:

At first I hands down thought Angeria should win but now I kinda think it should be Lady Camden tbh? But it's probs gonna be Willow lol. WIllow winning would make the most sense, and tbh she also deserves it. Gonna be surprised if it ends up being Bosco, even more so if it's Daya but Daya winning would be iconic tbh, gonna be a mess online. IMO this is the closest a finale has ever been tbh. It really could go to anyone.

I get why people like the more direct diary entry type lyrics but I'll just never be one of those people. I think songs like Heroin or Off to the Races or w/e are far more interesting than a song like Blue Banisters. And songs like Beautiful are just bad lyrically. It's like she just wanted to send a message but doesn't care if it sounds good or not (her having to rush pronouncing "Picasso" to fit it in... horrible). It goes along with her whole vocals done in one take / obsession with stripping back instrumentals thing she has going on. Stripped back piano with out of tune vocals and very direct lyrics don't make the music more honest or real, it just makes uninteresting while sounding bad. She can be honest while sounding good, not being too on the nose and having some grander production. We've all heard it before.
