Watched her documentary recently. It was so good. She’s such a legend. One of my all time favorite artists. Damita Jo her most underrated album. It’s such a good album & deserves more recognition imo. My fav album of hers keep changing tbh currently it’s All For You but if I had to choose her Best it would def be The Velvet Rope. One of the best albums ever created. Even tho I’ve been listening to her since I was a child I don’t think I ever listened to her first 2 albums in full more than once lol. In my eyes Control’s her debut (and in her eyes probs too). Control’s also one of the best albums ever made tbh. That album’s insane. Her, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis are Thee musical trio.

This episode was so intense omg the way it just turned into a psychological thriller

Eternals one of the best marvel movies idc idc it was so good the critics are WRONG. I looooved how different it was from the usual Marvel stuff. I really hope the bad reviews it got won’t lead to Marvel taking less risks and sticking to what they usually do. I do think the movie was way too long tho, I could not finish it in one sitting lol. Thena obvs the highlight of the entire movie. Loved her dynamic with Gilgamesh.

what cover are y’all using for your CRASH sessions album (or whatever y’all store the crash outtakes on)
-
I think it’s coming. Something about that guy that creeped her out before she stopped. It would be weird if they won’t go further into that.

when her mom was wrong about march cause it’s actually coming in february

just one touch is cute! the other song's alright

There was a scene during Cal's backstory where you see Marsha looking suspicious when she sees Cal and Derek having a little interaction. I think they def threw that in there to show that she knew from the beginning. Probs also ties in with Nate and how he got bad traits from both parents.

Girl no one's having a meltdown over Kim Petras, the songs just sound like shit. You can make cute fun mindless bops without them being bad. If you like them then great.. I don't, so I'm gonna say it.. cause that's literally what this site is for lol. People having an opinion different than yours isn't them having a "meltdown", and posting 2 posts that aren't merged isn't having a meltdown either. People that come on here to shut down negative opinions are so annoying bsdjh. Anyways I hope the EP thing is true and she just puts all these bad songs on it (coconuts included, although it is catchy it's not great) cause I really liked the whole European concept she had with the Steven Klein visuals and think it could be very good if she doesn't go in the same direction with it like these new songs she's teasing. Didn't love Future Starts Now but there's potential there.

"American Standards & Classics" Cover Album - Pre-Pre-Release Thread
TrashMagiq replied to Elle's topic in New Releases
It would be so iconic if she rerecorded of Video Games for the american standards & classics album. Def not gonna happen but it would be such a full circle moment tbh. -
Putting a 4+ hour song on your album's kinda pretentious (like, why bsdjfh) but either way I'm still very excited for the album. I absolutely loved Serotonin II. Not really that familiar with her other music but I just listened to Electric and it's amazing. Also love how she's working with Neil Krug.

Vote for Lana's Selfie of the Year 2021!

Since when is discussing music on a forum made for discussing music having a meltdown lmao, so dumb. If gathering name recognition is her goal she's going about it the wrong way. They didn't even really push Coconuts, which had a viral moment on TikTok. They just gave it a shitty dance video & moved on to the next shitty song (which I doubt will be more succesful than any other single she has dropped before).

witness era katy would bite her nose off but lana would win against katy current day
-
I can def see her doing a deluxe eventually and being like "⛓️Sellout era gotta milk this album playing the pop games deluxe out soon! 🩸🔪" or whatever & I'm gonna Absolutely eat it up even tho I don't think deluxe albums should be a thing Charli XCX you will ALWAYS be famous

titties out, latina del rey comeback, emile haynie, coke spoon, yeah...

The same artist that made songs like Do Me, In The Next Life and Hillside Boys singing "these lips go lalala give me that yayayaya" pls it's so tragic. I wouldn't care if it was just 1 fun non-serious song but girl get it together..
-
Apparently this isn't even the same song as that "treat me like a slut" snippet... literally what is she doing this era. This album's gonna be terrible lmao. Lke i said before she's really trying to appeal to a specific group of gays and it's just Not it. This maybe would've been a moment 5 years ago but this type of music is sooo tired. She got so much talent but she's wasting it all for this "high camp" approach which just makes her look like a cringey meme. Like, who wants to listen to "this throat lady gaga!" "treat me like a slut lil dirty bitch i love to fuck!" in 2022 (I mean some are def gonna eat this up but) it's so corny.

oh it gets even worse

Elliot's the villain in my eyes lol he's fully manipulative. They rlly went out to steal some white claws and then got mad Rue was drinking one in the backseat like why get alcohol in the first place & then get mad when Rue's drinking it like bsdjfh they rlly took an addict along w them to steal alcohol expecting her to just watch them 2 drink it like plss that was so weird. Also they need to focus a little less on Cal like I really dont give a fuck about his internal struggles if they're not tying it in directly with the rest of the character like his backstory was very cute but it did Not need that big of a part in last episode. All it told me is that Marsha possibly got pregnant on purpose cause she noticed Cal was interested in his friend. For the rest what did we find out about him that we didn't already know... Him and his friend had a little thing that could never be official cause he knocked his girlfriend up like ok... very sad, but what now? It seems like they're trying to make us sympathize with him but that's just not gonna happen for me.

One thing I dislike about this season is that they're So focused on the artsy scenes like every 5 minutes there's a new montage with some music playing representing what the characters are feeling, like, it all looks gorgeous but they're doing it wayy too much this season. They need to focus on the actual story and dialogue.

hoping for a mass CRASH sessions leak after the album release with the scrapped earlier tracks that were more Janet inspired

Kat’s character progression makes sense tbh. It was obvious that last season she was fully just faking confidence and being “in control”, and it probs hit her when that camgirl moment happend where she got freaked out. To me that scene made it clear that she’s just a teen girl faking she’s something she’s not to cope. I do think the style change this season was very sudden but it would be weird if she was still dressing like she did during season 1. Her being in a relationship and being desired by someone for the first time for who she is probs changed stuff. Her entire storyline this season is so shit tho like she just pops up every now and then talking about how she’s not sure about her relationship.. She did have one of my favorite scenes this season with all the influencers spreading toxic positivity tho. She Delivers every time she gets a minute of screen time lmao. Her “it was hasty” line from last episode in the hot tub was probs the highlight of the episode for me bsjjfj. Anyways, I hope she has a bigger role next episodes but I doubt it.
