https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IIT1kFQ1H-4&t=151s josiah did an interview/date thing with "Highsnobiety" that is pretty revealing to who he is as an artist. (if you can get past how awkward the whole thing is tbh. it's a little cringe)

i'd second this. plus, she's been quoted as having said she constructed this album in a way that seems as if she's falling in love. it's her "tindr album," as in, it is her dating album. i think there will be more to unpack here than in vulnicura.

serpentwithfeet "An actual serpent with feet is an image that belongs to a prelapsarian world. It’s a mythical reminder of original sin, and perhaps a symbol of lost potential, fallibility, desire, and all sorts of biblical things good and bad. It’s a hell of a name for a musical project, coded with all the grandeur and primordial muck of the Book of Genesis. serpentwithfeet is Josiah Wise, a classically trained singer who’s moved nomadically between neo-soul, funk, R&B, and a self-described style of pagan gospel—he finds refuge, takes lessons, and moves on. On his debut EP, *blisters *he’s enlisted Björk collaborator and producer the Haxan Cloak to help craft a world that boils with personal energy and is fantastically operatic in scale." -PITCHFORK https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5a4N_lOAieA What do y'all think? Should we stan? I do P.S. I believe they go by they/them (?)

i can really appreciate her dedication to this project. i can't believe there's an artist who actually is following through on a conceptual project like this. "disco tits" was pretty good. it's got me excited for the album !!
