Did Adele Copy Lana's 'Paradise' Wrist Tattoo?
Trinity replied to Trash Magic's topic in Latest News
While Adele may not have intentionally *copied* Lana, it is rather *strange* that two singers got the same word tattooed on the same spot of the same hand. It may just be an ironic coincidence, but it seems just a little too weird to me, personally. While it's one thing for fans to get similar tattoos as their idols in honor of their impact, it's a completely different thing for two well known *celebrities* to have the same tattoo. Just my opinion. -
Made a little cover art for her In Your Eyes cover since I couldn't find any I hate leaving stuff in my iTunes without cover art.

Wow, her music is really good! It's like, different but not too weird that I'm scared away. I shall be downloading it all now & playing it in the record shop

Ah, okay. I've never even heard that word before but I looked it up and it makes a lot more sense than sorted! Thanks
-
Thank you! It's definitely haunting, I was just taking that line from the leak blog and I didn't even realize that mistake And yeah, I thought it was "at the moon" but I wasn't sure!
-
What about that "nobody's had more shots" line? What do you guys hear?
-
That's it. Thanks! They're complete now.

You know sometimes I think God's playing a little game with me Looking down from Heaven, laughing, trying to see how much I can take Because the way things go, it's like a joke Nobody's had more shots at the moon and missed than me It's like I got my life stuck, stuck on rewind Tryin' to make something of myself, life's got something else in mind I'm fighting a losing game and I'm biding my time You won't be my man, do I understand? No, stop I don't wanna hear another word about your why not's, I bought Your bullshit all before and now you're trying to sell me more, babe A man who makes a beast out of himself got nothing to lose Sold my soul long ago, nothing left to choose I'm tired, tired of singing the blues I'm tired, ah I'm walking down the streets, you wouldn't know what I was thinking It's just another white girl day, hey, ribbons in my hair and I am sinking down A double life, a sordid past and I am drinking now I want to be bad, you say you were glad to see me Shut up I don't wanna know another thing you think you know about me I'm not who you think I am, smiling but I ain't happy A man who makes a beast out of himself got nothing to lose Sold my soul long ago, nothing I can choose I'm tired, tired of singing the blues I'm tired, ah Oh, my [super God/soul forgot], I can't turn off My mind is like a ticking time bomb Trying to kill me from inside Haunting me day and night Is there no remedy for memory? I've felt this way before, I've known the depths of utter desperation My boyfriend says I'm like an old movie star, with loneliness as my occupation I know that he's right, but I don't care tonight I want to be bad, I want to be bad I can't stop I keep running 'round the same town, knocking you down I'm fucked How can I get out when there's no where to go for miles around? A man who makes a beast out of himself got nothing to lose Sold my soul long ago, nothing I can choose I'm tired, tired of singing the blues I'm tired, ah! Ah, ah, ah Ah, ah, ah

I'm not extremely religious and not here to judge anyone who is but I mean, if you weren't already offended by Gods & Monsters why would this film offend you? "God's dead, I said baby, that's alright with me"... If that didn't already turn you off to LDR then why would the film?

I was talking to a friend about this the other day. We came up with these options: A: Barrie is going to feature on Lana's album. B: There will be another lovely duet like Summer Wine. C: Since Barrie's band, Kassidy, is also in the works of new music, Lana could be featured or maybe just sampled on their upcoming album. No matter the case, I'm excited! Barrie and Lana's voices mesh so well together. They just mesh so well together. I'm so glad they have one another

Noticed there wasn't a topic about fan fiction so I decided to make one. Do any of you write fan fiction {whether it be Lana related or not}? If so, post it here! It seems Lana/Marina {Larina} fics seem to be popular among the Twitter fanbase. Thoughts? Have you ever read any Lana fanfics? Care to recommend any? For those of you who are avid readers, what's your favorite genre to read? I used to write a lot of fics for CATS (the musical)... *runs away in embarrassment* Of course, that was a long time ago, but I must admit it was fun! I currently am not working on or reading any fanfictions but I might write something soon if I get the inspiration. Happy discussing!

LANALYSIS: Relating Songs To Known/Assumed Relationships
Trinity replied to Sitar's topic in Lana Thoughts
I only have one question: How could anyone NOT be interested in Lana? -
Pop Industry Challenge One: Started From the Bottom Nightlife Released: Digitally on July 9th, 2013 Physically on July 16th, 2013 Track Listing: 1. Nightlife (4:37) 2. Nightlife (Live on Jimmy Kimmel) (5:17) 3. Nightlife (RAC Remix) (4:59) Produced by: Brian Higgins Written by: Florence Arnold, Brian Higgins, Sam Martin Lyrical Themes: Nightlife is a summer anthem. It captures the thrill of midnight madness in the heat of July. The lyrics portray that getting in a little trouble every once in a while is a good thing. The themes of the song are taking risks, having fun, and finding that “summer love” everyone craves! Interview with Jimmy Kimmel Jimmy: Ladies and gentleman, the lovely Florrie. How are you doing? Florrie: I'm great, thanks! So excited to be here. J: This is your first appearance on an American TV show, yes? F: Yes it is. I'm so happy to be branching out to different parts of the world, sharing my music everywhere. J: That's great. We're happy about it, too. So tell me, what's it like knowing that you're closer to your dream of being a star? F: It's truly amazing to me. It's actually moving quite fast. It's strange when people want a photo with me or fans tweet me with praise. I guess I'm not quite use to it yet but I know I'm very excited for what is to come. It feels really nice knowing people are receiving my sound well and are appreciating what I'm creating. J: Speaking of what you're creating, tell us about Nightlife. How did it come about? F: Nightlife is sort of a mash of all the feelings you get when you're running around town at night with your friends or somebody you love. Your adrenaline is high and you're excited but you're a little scared because you might be doing something you're not supposed to be. I feel like, musically, this song really portrays those emotions. The drum beat is like a racing heartbeat and there are a lot of different sounds used, like car horns for example, that really make the excitement show through. I really love it and hope people will play it in their cars while they cruise around the city, looking for some trouble. J: That sounds promising. What can we expect from your music in the future? F: I'm really liking the direction my music is going in now. It's sort of europop with influence like house music and sounds from the 60's. I do the drumming on all of my tracks and actually, my producer Brian and I are working on building songs from the drum beat up so it's really exciting and fun. For the most part I'd like to keep this upbeat, almost disco electric feel in my music but in the future I'd like to maybe try something a little slower, like a jazzy ballad with saxophone or something. I'd also love to try a collaboration with another artist since I've never done something like that. J: Ah! On the subject of collaboration, if you could duet with one legend, who would it be & why? F: Probably John Lennon. I grew up listening to a lot of The Beatles' music. I'd say I take a lot of the sounds from the 60's and try to use them subtly in the undertone of my music and in my fashion style. Mr. Lennon along with the rest of the band was definitely a big part of my childhood. I still love to watch vintage clips of The Beatles performing and, actually, that's where I pulled a lot of my drumming style from. I could just picture John and me on a stage with our circle glasses on, jamming away. I'd love that. J: Wonderful, Miss Florrie. So, how about your song Nightlife, let's hear it! Florrie, everyone! Performance Performance Music: A backing track will be played throughout the whole song, however the first quarter of the track will have no drum beat. Florrie will be drumming live throughout the first quarter of the song on a standing drum kit that reads "Florrie" on the front in the same font and colors of the single's album artwork. After that, she’ll only be doing vocals and dancing around the stage and into the first row of the crowd. Stage: The stage will be set with a NYC-inspired backdrop with tall, skyscraper buildings and digital, lit up billboards. The lighting will be bright and colorful, yet not too overwhelming. Outfit: Here.

"What Lana song should I force my musical boyfriend to cover?"
