I'm confused as to which visual direction she's going for in this era. The title "Ultraviolence" screams dark, harsh colors like the black and red on the billboards but then for the West Coast images she chooses to do baby blue and yellow? I don't really get it

How long have I been a fan? Since around April or May of 2012. Lana popped up on one of my Pandora stations with OTTR and I've been hooked ever since. Will I ever stop being a fan? No. Will I ever stop being a devoted fan? Yes, eventually. Honestly, when I'm 40 years old and going to work, taking my children to soccer practice and then running home to cook dinner, I'm not going to listen to Lana anymore, at least not nearly as much as I do now. I'll still love her and appreciate everything she's taught me through her music, but I won't be "devoted" to her. Lana has already said that she's said everything she's wanted to say, and although she continues to make music now, she won't forever. I think my obsession will probably fizzle out about a year or two after she "retires" from singing. Still, I know that no matter how far apart I drift from her and this life I've lived built around her, I will always be able to turn her music on and feel a resurgence of those magical, beautiful feelings I felt two years ago. I know that she has already made an impact on me that will last a lifetime. Wow that was cheesy, bye.

I agree that I think the pan flute melody sounds like something that could relate to Emile's video (even though he said it wasn't Lana) Also, the melody reminds me of the last few seconds of Ridin'.

I'm sorry, but isn't this a discussion forum? Where we discuss things about Lana, including how she looks? Part of being in the public eye is maintaining an image, so while Lana has the right to wear whatever she wants, do her makeup however she pleases, and keep her body in shape or not, people are going to be looking at her appearance and forming opinions. While I do think some people push it a little far, we're all allowed to have an opinion about Lana that does not involve her being a "perfect flawless angel queen". I think it's wrong for you to say that simply stating that Lana looks a little older is "shit" just because it's not praising her. Fun fact: humans' appearances change as they get older. Lana's human. She qualifies. Being a fan does not mean that every single thing that you say about Lana has to be positive.

Maybe it's just because her dress looks like my grandma's nightgown, but she kind of looks like she's aging a tiny, tiny bit. It's a natural thing, she's still so beautiful. So happy she lost those tacky extensions! As always, I'm still wishing she would dye her hair lighter, I think it would do her so much justice, make her look younger, happier :-)

My NMTF vinyl isn't going to be here until the 17th, I can't wait that long But all the previews sound soooo good. Question: Do you guys think any of these songs will get the slightest bit of radio play in the US?

I've wanted so badly to get into Charli XCX cause I think she's so hot and her wardrobe is the best thing ever but I've been bored by every song I've ever listened to. Also I've heard a lot of hype about Azalea Banks but I think her music is revolting. I tried to like HAIM but I only like a few songs, I think I'll give them another listen though. As far as TV goes, I cannot get into American Horror Story or Pretty Little Liars. And I hate all Nicholas Sparks books, they're gross.
