A fan on twitter said she won M&G for Portland...anyone know the tea on that? I’ve never heard of recent official M&G’s. -

Let me start this ramble by saying I have nothing against Alex and Ashley personally. I follow both of them on IG. They’re both successful, talented, strong women and I love that Lana has friends like them in her life. Since they’re not going away anytime soon, I just wish they added more to the show as a whole. To me, they’re more of a distraction rather than an enhancement. And maybe that’s a part of why they help Lana’s nerves while performing...they distract from her Example: I recently saw MARINA live. She has 4 backup dancers. I was initially skeptical of that many dancers, thinking it would be way too much going on, but I was pleasantly surprised how much I loved them! Their dancing and stage presence helped elevate and translate the music and lyrics, while never distracting from Marina and always letting her remain the focus. There were times at my Lana show last year where I couldn’t even see her because Alex or Ashley were standing in front of her. Some of their dances are cute and fit the music (OTTR, Serial Killer), but in my opinion, a lot of their choreography feels disconnected from the music. A majority of Lana’s songs have a vulnerability to them, so to have two confident-looking women wearing less than the singer drop it low to “I fall to pieces when I’m with you” or writhing on the floor to a song like PWIC feels off. (Sry to sound like a grandma.) They’re professional dancers...surely they can portray themselves and choreograph dances that don’t feel so disconnected to the music they’re translating. Anyways, I’m wasting my breath, because we all know as long as Lana likes it (which she obvs does), nothing will change. Just my two cents to whoever from Lana’s crew is perusing these threads.- 186 replies

She looks cute and stylish. NYC time done her well. Back to leggings and baddie jackets in 3...2... -
So I saw Marina for the first time last night, front row, and wow...what a performer. She looked amazing, and I was surprised at how little she is in real life! Her voice sounded great, she had awesome stage presence, and her dancers! I was kind of skeptical of them going in, but they actually add a lot to the show while still letting Marina have the spotlight. Lana & Co. could learn a thing or two from her. And she sang Oh No! !!! That was an awesome surprise! She didn’t come out to meet fans afterwards we waited a little over 2 hours with no luck. I’m content with it, though. She did smile and wink at me when I blew a kiss to her, so that’s a big deal to me! Can’t wait to see her again someday. <3

Minor General Questions that Don't Deserve Their Own Thread
Downtown Baby Doll replied to Monicker's topic in Lana Thoughts
So the search function isn’t working for me and I’m sure it’s been discussed before, but what’s Lana’s relationship like with her mom? We see Rob often (hanging out with Lana/Chuck/Marina, he was at Jones Beach last night, he’s active on Twitter/IG, Lana shouting him out in “hope”), but we never see or hear much about Mama Del Rey. -
Haven’t heard the album yet, but just bought my tix to see THE Scorpio queen! Going to be such a fun show!

...Anyway...No More Suckers acoustic...she really did that. Should’ve been the album version.

Don't Call Me Angel [Music Video] - OUT NOW
Downtown Baby Doll replied to Elle's topic in New Releases
I read an amazing suggestion somewhere that Ariana’s part should’ve been about seducing some guy at a club (would’ve gone with the lyrics in her verse) and secretly planting a tracking device or something on him, and I can’t stop wishing for that now. Like, girl’s got the acting experience, it’s kind of a shame how most of her videos now are just glamor poses. -

When the hell are we gonna get that Electra merch she was working on? If she thinks I’m gonna buy a white t-shirt with a square album cover on it for $40+ she’s got another thing coming
