I hope it's an upbeat, celebratory bop - like a mix between Be Alright and Focus, somehow - and not a slow ballad

Same. I feel like the extra-ness of the cover was totally intentional, and that's what's so great about it. On the Born To Die cover, you have this girl in a neat, pressed white shirt and skirt with her hair perfectly curled, standing in what could be any neighborhood in front of an old car looking down at the camera - I always thought she even looked a bit timid. Music-wise, she's singing about swinging in the backyard and finally getting noticed for her music (playin' on the radio, how do you like me now?). Fast forward to the Paradise cover, and it's all about that post-BTD fame she was searching for for so long, and the extravagance that might come with that newfound fame and riches. Her hair's down, she's showing skin, she's poolside overlooking California, and she's got her chest up and hand on her hip, glaring at the camera like the bad bitch she is. Music-wise she's moved from the backyard into the land of gods and monsters and singing about certain figures in Cola. -
She looks so good! Pink Palace, Bittersweet Banger, Handmade Heaven...queen of alliteration

I don't know if she'll ever be able to top Ride. She's put out some amazing tracks since then, but that song just wows me every single time. The lyrics, her vocals, the production, the strings, the video, the monologue...everything about it is Lana at her best. Maybe with her recent show hairstyle she's trying to tell me "Don't worry baaaby, Ride Pt. II is coming"

Lust For Life - Post-Release Discussion Thread + Poll

This is......yikes I'll defend her for a lot of things, but this is inexcusable -
I'm unimpressed with most Lana remixes, including SS, but the official Blue Jeans remixes are soo good. The one you posted is one of my faves along with the Gesaffeistein remix. These two are probably tied for my #1, both are amazing and give the track their own vibe: Cedric Gervais wishes he could make something half as good as these
