  1. Yeah, I've also been wondering about this. I've been transcribing them pretty accurately, with all the "like" and "um" and "ah" and even some false starts. I only did this because it helps prevent little personal (and possibly erroneous) interpretations of what was said, and while the text makes a lot of sense to me when I proof-read it while listening to the interview again (before submitting it), I have no idea if it's too confusing when read only... If you guys decide you want a "cleaner" text, I'll edit the transcriptions I've made so far a little bit.
  2. Of course it's an opinion, I never thought or said otherwise. I merely commented on the fact that it was a particularly empathic one given the reasons I previously mentioned - especially as a response to someone who was also, I believe, expressing his / her own opinion. So that was basically my opinion on yours on someone else's.
  3. Many who'd relentlessly pursued fame and success at one point in their lives ended up regretting it later on for a variety of reasons, or handling it badly (or not at all). Lana - heavens forbid - certainly wouldn't be the first to have a change of heart after having achieved what she'd always wanted and finding out that it wasn't quite the paradise she'd been hoping for. You know that expression, "careful what you wish for"? My point being: while I feel inclined to agree with the general idea of your post, that's a far too assertive statement about someone you don't know personally (I assume; if that's not the case, feel free to completely ignore this).
  4. I *totally* get what you mean, @@maru. I just finished that last transcription I'd claimed, so I'll just leave it here. RNBJUNK Keep up the great work and take your time to "catch up" with what's already been posted, and just let us know when / if you need more help!
  5. Here it is. It's only about 10 minutes long, though. And in Spanish... --- Transcribing the RNBJUNK interview from January 31st now.
  6. When I first listened to Delicious I felt what could definitely be described as second-hand embarrassment... but now, for some reason, I REALLY love it. It's... I don't know, unique. Re: the rappers in both songs (Delicious and MMIH) - and even though there's not a whole lot to go by in MMIH - I don't think they're the same person. Intonation aside, the timbre of both voices sounds very different to me...
  7. @@maru Corriere.it Exclusive (transcription + partial Italian translation)
  8. Doing the Corriere.it Exclusive interview from March 12th next.
  9. @@maru Channel V at Splendour in the Grass This interviewer is SUCH a fangirl. Also, when interviewers and interviewees constantly speak at the same time ---> Once again I need a little help figuring out a word/expression. It's roughly between 6:37 and 6:41, when the interviewer says "did you get any backlash from your ???, you know, reenactment?"; no idea what she says. EDIT: Added it, thanks @@jess9715! I did not know that.
  10. @@maru El País interview (translation from Spanish) Cute interview. I had no idea she'd spent 4 months in Santander when she was 16! (I guess that last question & answer gives a bit more context to what she recently said re: Barrie + not knowing any "worthwhile" people; she's disillusioned... but yeah, this is OT so I'll just shut up, sorry.) --- I'll transcribe the one from Channel V at Splendour In The Grass now. By the way, that interview in CatRadio is not in Spanish, it's in Catalan. That will probably... complicate matters.
  11. That's all right, I hadn't started yet. I'll do the El País translation instead.
  12. Typing the Sunday Times article right now (I will need a magnifying glass for this one). EDIT - Oops. Unless @@Hundred Dollar Bill wants that one? Just saw @@maru's post.
  13. @@maru 3FM Radio One minor thing: between 2:40 and 2:42 (between "it can change things" and "sort of"), I can't quite figure out what Lana says. It's not super relevant but if someone understands what's said, please let me know so that I can add it. EDIT: Already added it, thanks @@lola!
  14. @@maru - I'll start transcribing the 3FM radio interview (still not done, right?). I looked for the Sirius XM one but, like you, I can't find it anywhere; only the occasional newspaper article with partial transcriptions... Maybe we should try contacting the radio or something?
  15. @@maru Mulberry x Lana - Poolside @ Château Marmont La Boîte à questions --- I will definitely come here and pick more interviews to translate and/or transcribe tomorrow, but now I really need to get some sleep as it's almost 7am here.
  16. OK, so unless I got it all wrong, I think these two interviews -- Mulberry x Lana - Poolside @ Chateau Marmont + La Boîte à questions -- are still available. I could start by transcribing those, what do you think?
  17. I'd love to help! I can transcribe and/or translate; my native language is Portuguese but I think I can handle Spanish, French and Italian (preferably written). I could start by translating the El País interview, if it's still up for grabs...
  18. I have a little question regarding both versions of Motel 6... So, one is the acapella demo; so far so good. However, I've heard 2 different versions of the "regular" one - this one (which seems to be the most common and easiest to find) and this one (the one I have in my 'unreleased' folder). Can someone please just tell which is the right one?!
  19. I completely agree with this. I simply assumed that was her - inadequate, that's for sure - way of dodging the question, since so many celebrities (Lana included) have recently been targeted for "saying the wrong thing" (either out of ignorance, carelessness or misinterpretation) re: feminism, as well as other social and political issues. I can understand not wanting to be at the centre of yet another controversy. OR she could just be rather ignorant about the subject and not want to delve into something she doesn't know all that much about; OR she could just not be interested in it at all (which would be quite ironic in an autonomous, self-sufficient woman - but still entirely possible); OR she could have no interest in the role of feminist / social icon; OR an infinity of other reasons. My point being: it's impossible to know for sure what she meant or which are her real views on feminism (if she has any) based on this.
  20. What do you guys mean with "not very polished" and "messy"? It's been a year since I saw her live and I thought it looked fine then; no idea about how it looks now in live shows...
  21. I think that's the bottom line, really. No matter how many different viewpoints are expressed in this thread, there is no correct interpretation, only different opinions based on different personalities and experiences. If it's already difficult to be absolutely certain of what someone means when they say something to us directly, that becomes practically impossible when all we have is a written interview (no body language, intonation, etc.) already dependent on a third party's interpretation and way of phrasing / conveying what was said. It did make for a very interesting discussion, though.
