For the record, I don’t consider LFL incohesive. true, it’s her « clumsiest» album, but it’s a summer album (I don’t mind if a summer album is more diverse) and it was released in a fucked up period of my life, so for it to be « all over the place » really wasn’t an issue for me. Besides, the album flows pretty well considering how many changes it had. if the Interlude doesn’t lead to some beat on Black Bathing Suit, it’s going to sound weird I think.

That would be a wasted opportunity if she did that. But one thing she has always done is releasing cohesive albums and to put out an interlude that leads to nothing would be.. gasp… incohesive lol

I see The singles not leaking because the few insiders who had them didn’t leak them and with a universal release time, its harder to have them in advance on those leaking sites because of differences in time zones. But the album will probably sent too early, so I’m not super confident it won’t leak.

I don’t see how it won’t. Digital and physical copies released together, Universal will send copies too early again. Unless the lucky ones getting vinyls or CDs in advance keep quiet, it will surely happen again.

Looking back at it, she had « staged » this for quite some time now. It feels as though she was testing the waters in the COCC era. And in the last weeks, she gave us so much gorgeous selfies (and birthday posts ). Plus Arcadia… Plus yesterday’s Twitter post about recording covers… It def was planned for quite some time now.

Exactly! Plus she is still working on an album… it’s just that she doesn’t want the negativity of socials. That decision will surely bring back the mysterious persona of early career that some of us wanted back. When her projects are ready, she will probably reactivate and post about those. Or not. But hey, let’s be real here, it’s not as if she updated us a lot on the process of creation. Without BoZ, this pre-pre-release era would have been dry AF.

I see her do some small venues (in LA lol). Maybe a couple of summer festivals. But imagine if she barely tours anymore, if a festival books her for an event how much of an happening it would be.

Same! If you look at some of the replies under that post, probably from people here, saying they will cancel their order if she leaves socials… I mean, this is the reason why she does it (partly) lol

Well I didn’t see that one coming. The vibes from this message are similar to the interview she did in January, and yet she hasn’t really taken some time off since then, has she? I wonder if it’s going to be just for a while or if it’s going to be « her new thing ». i understand her decision: dealing with commentaries and DMs from fans must not be easy. I’m glad she decided to do what was best for her. For those of you that don’t like snippets, I guess they got their wish

We have no idea either. Lustforlife suggested she might be changing companies, but maybe she is just there for copyrights for the cover album.

And it’s Lana were talking about here. I think that HM is the only album from her that didn’t have some sort of shift in direction (that we know of).

I don’t want Lana to do a Christmas album honestly, but a cute EP or just one or two songs at the end of a cover album would be beautiful! And yeah, your two picks are gorgeous tracks. Taste!

It was the initial concept last year, but as much as I love that Twitter account, they are in no way an insider. So who knows? I wouldn’t be surprised if she changed the concept a bit, to broaden the selection of songs.

Love or Leave Me would be interesting, although Nina covered it superbly. There are a lot of Christmas songs on that list… so XMas album?!?

I’m not sure she even said which song it was. But I def read about this. And she does reference Elvis on Million Dollar Man, so maybe Jailhouse Rock? (Which contains the line One for the money, two for the show)

I’m surprised BB didn’t have Diamonds and Rust already… but maybe she already covered that song for this album…

A Elvis cover has to happen: she wanted to do it for BTD, but Elvis’s widow didn’t allow it… But we now know that she loves Lana, so it’s definitely possible now.
