  1. Interscope sure doesn’t have any problem with her going into the studio to record her next album, but she doesn’t tour that much and makes no TV appearances… I’m sure there are lots of going back and forth between her, Tap management and Interscope that happen behind closed doors.
  2. All of her covers were great and unexpected, in a way. For most of her previous covers, I wasn’t a big fan of the original, but she sold me her version of it. The only cover I could see from her is Summer Wind by Frank Sinatra, but imagine it with a darker twist like 13 Beaches
  3. Knowing how she always changes her mind, I wouldn’t be surprised if she changed the whole AS&C concept, to include a broader range of songs. maybe she will drop the album digitally only this Christmas
  4. COVID put aside all of her other projects (touring) and she could record as much as she wanted, I guess. Which is really good for us!!
  5. So we’re going back to guessing which songs she will include on this album… The Good Life would be such a dream to finally have in HQ…
  6. I love how BB came to be by accident, while working on the covers
  7. Arcadia got a lot of praise from critics. Even from EW, that never really loved her (it’s one of the few critics that didn’t include Norman on their « top albums » list of that year). Good for her
  8. It was from the fake track list on Dbree. There was that date attached to that fake track and another one for Arcadia (that didn’t come through)
  9. I now see her albums as pairs : BTD is yin; P is yang UV is yang; HM is yin LFL is yang ; NFR is yin COCC is the softest yin yet; BB is yang for a LDR album, yin is being a bit more detached from the OG emotion that sparked the project, and yang is more passionate / raw / « imperfect » and into the moment I don’t know if HM will be the antithesis of BB, but since it’s yang, I don’t think it will be as « detached » as HM
  10. 100% agree. The first snippet should have been enough. I listened to the whole song twice, didn’t download it to not overplay it, but listened to it so I won’t obsess over it. as for Loved You Then and Now, I hope she puts it out and in the years to come (I’m trying not to make it my new Yosemite by telling myself it mustn’t be that good if it got scrapped from TWO albums )
  11. I’m wondering the same thing. This era so far has been « the music speaks for itself », so I don’t expect a radio interview or magazine cover. We’re really close to release, and I don’t know if she will release another single before that? There’ll probably be another MV around release or just a bit after… maybe if one of the songs has more « radio-friendly » possibilities. But I really don’t know. She switches up her « strategy » with each album. I was dead sure we would get White Dress a month prior to the album and well, we know how that turned out (although, in retrospect, I was glad to be able to dive into Chemtrails with that gorgeous track in the context of the album).
  12. If you look at the albums she put out since Norman, that portion of her career is just phenomenal. Many artists would kill to have created that. Plus the other four albums before that that are so so good also.
  13. As far as I know, we don’t have the song lengths. But one insider said that the longest track was Text Book ? The album overall is over an hour, which is a good run IMO (longer than that, it’s hard to listen to it from cover to cover)
  14. It’s a shame that this album doesn’t have a box set. Same happened with Norman… (although the booklet visuals weren’t that amazing with Norman, except for the cover, that I still love).
  15. Of the four covers this era, the standard one might be the one I like « the least », as in its a 9/10, when the others are 9,5+. She slapped with those covers this era.
  16. BoZ said he didn’t think that the BB one was even a complete Mv at all, probably just a little promo shoot she did. Agree with you that it looked beautiful but went nowhere.
  17. Whatever it is, it has to be interesting at least, following that interlude. You can’t go from Arcadia to the interlude and go back to « slow-building ballads » again: what would be the point of the interlude then? And she does something right every time, and it’s crafting albums that are cohesive.
  18. The way I already won so fucking big with this album: she is including Thunder and Nectar of the Gods, which were top five in my unreleased collection, plus Cherry Blossom and leaving out I Talk to Jesus.
  19. Ouf! I don’t know how to feel about this. I mean, wouldn’t it only mean that she would have everything « go smaller » from now on? Like small budget MV and small-budget producers?
  20. I am so glad and grateful for this album. Chemtrails needed a « second part » that it doesn’t have sadly. But this album feels already so rich. And I love that I wasn’t in total awe with the singles at first but fuck do they grow on you. and our girl know what she is doing, including the interlude with the MV… what a way to create hype and keep us on our toes.
