  1. Can’t wait to hear them on the full album. They’re incredible on their own, but they will sure be even more « impactful ». Same as Hope: weird on its own, (Heroin would have been too if she had released it as a single) but with the rest, it’s going to be amazing I’d sure love it, along with Yosemite. But i’m Not so sure anymore, with the new article out :/ Anyways, she has to release a collection of her unheard / unleaked songs at some point: we will hear it sometimes in our lifetime.
  2. if HiaB is indeed the lead, we better not have any expectations for the video: it will suck. But it could be a lead to a very short period before NFR is released: the March date is still mentioned from many sources and besides, I checked on Music News Facts on Twitter: many big female names could release sooner than we think in 2019. So, if you don't want your moody album with no bangers to go completely unnoticed, you better release it by the end of winter (but it's Lana and she doesn't care, i know).
  3. That interview confirmed and explained so many things: 1) like you said, the direction for LDR6 changed when Jack came on board. 2) Before that, it was rumored to have a couple of new songs and unleaked songs from previous eras. 3) RBFY could have been on that project at that point, explaining why she teased it a second time around Nov. or Dec. 2017. I really love the work she did with Rick, but a new and personal, stripped-down project like NFR is a burst of fresh air.
  4. Have you listened to the two snippets back to back? I don’t hear them being « merged » at some point. Maybe they’ll reference each other, but they’re two separate songs.
  5. Didn’t think it was at first. Not « hit » material enough. But this week’s interview describing NFR could confirm that it is: zéro promo, so no big video, not a banger : could really be that HIaB is the lead.
  6. Ok Ok! I see what you mean! But if I'm right, the LFL cover was revealed mid-week?!? Don't recall it was a Friday. And are there rules about album cover being released? Or even preorders?
  7. Singles aren't always released on Fridays. They try to have them released that day, but the "application" of that rule is looser (the title track of LFL wasn't released on a Friday, same as MAC, VB, Hope, Coachella... Muse also doesn't always release on a Friday, radiohead follow their own rules lol, etc.)
  8. Sorry my bad! I was thinking Friday but wrote Tuesday :/And it’s pretty clear from the interview that she has no planned promo in mind, so a specific day to release stuff? I don’t buy it. And even LFL, the infos were given pretty much any given day. They must be thinking about the Jesse R. collab and the MGK one, which aren’t supposed to be on NFR. They also changed the number of collabs from 1 to 2 recently lol.
  9. Albums are released on Fridays. Singles and the rest: the day the artist wants.Like I said, a rumour on a Lana FB page claims that she will reveal the album cover next week. A bit sketchy, but they were the first to claim NFR would have 13 tracks.
  10. That and Ariana’s new album. If you want your album / single to go under the radar, release it the same day Ariana, Taylor or Rihanna does.
  11. Like I said before, LFL will be her most underrated album here. Outside LB, the album was acclaimed. It sure is a grower and one to listen to in the summer. Not as raw as UV, not as grand as HM, but it is very well crafted and diverse. That diversity is a plus in her discography, especially since it was released after HM and NFR, two personal and moody album.
  12. A rumour is flying on a FB Lana group that we’ll get the album cover next week. Their source is Indie Mundo, a music blog (I know, it’s sketchy). However, they were the first to announce that NFR would have 13 tracks. So let’s take this with a grain of salt, but we now know it’s gonna be a minimal release, and the lead and album cover are soon to be expected.
  13. Possible. But didn’t she say she was working on a musical with Rick? That could take a while... the end of HM (the song) is a bit jazzy also. I think she had TLY and HM in mind when she said the album was jazz.
  14. So we got two new interviews this week... The lead should be near, with a release date.
  15. Either these two are tracks 12 and 13, or HTD and Cinnamon were the last two if she didn't include the country tunes (she teased a lot of the last stuff she did for LFL, and I wouldn't be surprised if she did the same with NFR).
  16. I expect a couple more snippets. If only for the title track.
  17. Possible. Or HTD and Cinnamon were the last additions if these two (Hey Blue Baby ans Stupid) aren’t on NFR.
  18. As long as the music is inspired and she wants to do it, who am I to say she needs a break? However, I expect the pace to slow down since she is involved in many other projects.
  19. Possibly. What I see is that she alternates between « big era » and « small era I do the fuck I want ». Maybe the number 1s are more important with big eras?
  20. What I mean is that her marketing strategy is minimalist and so are the videos. The music speaks for itself, that’s her point of view I think. I really love the sound of NFR, introspective and chord-driven. The lyrics and melodies are superb. But she said in that article that each album has some variations when it comes to marketing and release. NFR is the closest we get from a « surprise release ». LFL must have been her « big era », with videos, news, and tour.
  21. I don't expect a trailer this time around. NFR has «minimalistic» written all over it. Besides, what can she serve us? The same footage that she gave us with 2 videos and a possible 3rd one (if HIaB is the lead single)?
  22. I don't hate HIaB, but is it wrong to think it is a «weak» choice as a single? Especially after having released Hope Is a Dangerous thing? Something with a bit more pizzaz could be more «single material»... Then again, «minimalist» is the key word for this era, it seems. If HIaB is indeed the lead single, I will be so disappointed that she used the same images for three videos. That would be a very questionable choice, and I ain't difficult when it comes to videos (I think Freak is a good video even if it was intended for another song, and i love the visuals of White Mustang though they fit better with BAR). Finally, people are getting over their «She will scrap everything» phase.
