  1. French author Françoise Sagan said once, in an interview, that happiness is waking up in the morning and not feeling necessarily super happy nor super depressed. That quote stayed with me for some time now. Problem is that the notion of happiness that we have been taught through society, movies, publicity, stories and such is very different: we are taught that happiness is this everlasting sense of belonging and being at peace with all of your life choices and feeling super fulfilled with your existence, with a constant smile on your face. Its fucking not and impossible; you only get glimpses of that from time to time. Lana's been searching for happiness all of her life : through love, music, drugs, moving away, fame (or, at least, that's what I heard in her music and interviews). But now, after that, after all those experiences, what is left? In your 30s, you really want to have something that lasts. She found part of it in her writing, but seems to be looking for it in her personal sphere as well. Thus explaining her posts with her new friends. I hope she does get that sense of belonging that she seems to be looking for.
  2. Happiness is complicated. I am in my 30’s as well and I find it hard to « have », to get a grip on. The notion of happiness, where you feel you truly belong where you are at that moment, when you feel that you are complete, is mostly made of moments and is not a permanent state of mind (sadly). Last time I had the feeling she had found that was last March, when she finished the tour, was recording NFR and stated she was entering her « blue period ». This is why I love her Happiness is a Butterfly line: it’s exactly that. Happiness is easy to go; there are only moments of happiness. Hope also is a very honest way of seeing things. Regarding Lana, happiness is even tougher to get since she is in the public eye, with social media and such. She seems happy these days. Or at least tries to. She is looking for what’s real (could explain her new attendance to Hillsong: we know she has always been spiritual and it’s probably part of that quest, though I am completely against it). She seems to have found new friends that help her find that (at least for now). I don’t know if I make sense... it’s a tough subject to talk about and be concise lol.
  3. it's the first time that has time goes by, the less we know about an album :/
  4. So much Gemini hate. Justice for Gemini’s!!!! Seriously, i don’t know what to think anymore: is it delayed because she wants the two released together, does she want to include a song or two that will have more of a summer feeling since we are possibly going for a summer release? Will she put out a new song before or after the lead and therefore feels we will have heard too many tracks, so she has to add some to NFR? It’s a whole lot of questions and no answers at this point.
  5. We know that MTV were the first to bring up the March 29 date. But I wonder where they got that date... what was their source?
  6. Don’t say things like that: I want to believe you.But... tomorrow March 5. And people have been pretty good with their psychic predictions... was March 5 a psychic prediction though? (Jesus, can’t believe psychics are now a reliable source with this era)
  7. The irony of it all would be if she released HIaB on March 29, exactly one year after she first teased it. And you know what? It doesn’t seem that far fetched anymore lol
  8. She said the writing was done in January. Don’t know if it was the first draft or the final one. Then there’s printing and all the steps for the publishing company.
  9. She said in the last that she likes a schedule, thus no surprise release. But hey, this era is different in so many ways. I don’t see a whole lot of interviews to promote it, so who knows?
  10. It’s not uncommon in the music industry, to put out that lead single while the record is mostly done (like there are 2 more songs to go). Like LFL, she must have thought she would be done very soon when MAC came out. But she enjoyed working with Jack and created good songs that she wanted to include on NFR, I guess? I guess she also didn’t expect the poetry book to take that long to write and kinda decided to include more songs on NFR as a bonus?!?! Dont know if this makes sense though.
  11. « Redo the album » is very exagerrated. My theory is that the poetry book took more time than expected and decided she could still add one more song to NFR in the meantime. She said she had sequenced 11 songs at the moment. It never was done in September. HTD could be her « swan song » in a way. I don’t think she will stop making music, but I expect her albums to be more scattered in time: she wants kids, she is working on a Broadway with Rick, she started writing and might want to pursue that avenue in the next years.
  12. I knew someone was going to bring up MAC and VB lol. NFR wasn't done when both singles were released, as opposed to the poetry book. I know we are all tired of this dragging never-ending pre-release period, but she has to release it at some point. And the press release that came out in January with Hope's release said mid-year. No matter what her «endgame» is at this point, she has to release it in the next months (May or June seem plausible). Of course I know things change with her, but I doubt NFR will be shelved until July-August or even later.
  13. The only thing that I find «encouraging» at this point is that she teased two poems in the last week, and that the book was done in January. So, we'll probably get both release dates (book + NFR) «soon».
  14. Well, nothing's confirmed yet. I don'y think the June reference in her poem is an indication of the NFR release month. But I honestly don't expect it to be released before May. Either she will release the poetry book before NFr like she said she would or she will release both simultaneously.
  15. I think that it just shows that it’s pointless to scrutinize every day for a possible lead (this era particularly). Best to live our lives and let her do her own thing, I guess.
  16. People were shitting on the UV era!?!?? What the actual fuck? I wasn’t on LB at that time, but what the actual fuck!?! That era was really great, compared to the one we have today!
  17. I doubt it too. The only thing that makes me think it could maybe end up on NFR is the fact that Jack got involved with the production (he was in the studio with her and MGK at some point, correct?)
  18. Love is such a hopeful song and it is perfect this time of year, when Spring is almost there, with its hopeful feeling. I just love listening to Love while going to work, with the sunrise
  19. 2 different choruses, I think. The first one would be the one she posted first (with the tourlyfe line); the second one is the part about dancing high, just before the bridge (if he's a serial killer). I'm more intrigued about the verses of that song. I don't think we heard any so far.
  20. After having heard both Handmade Heaven and Superstar, I get why Lana and her didn't collab: their albums are going in complete opposite directions.
  21. Who knows? We know she recorded songs with MGK and Jesse Rutherford. I doubt that the songs were intended for NFR. We know that the MGK collab was for his album... but he decided to scrap it all over. Does it include that song as well? if so, will Lana want to get it back for NFR?
  22. Well, the LFL trailer didn’t have a date either...
