I wish she’d do something like Gaga did, a couple of years ago, when she performed The Cure live for the first time... and boom, the song was out on all platforms simultaneously.

Not that I am seriously thinking it will happen, BUT an announcement before playing one song from NFR, on Friday, could be so much better than an ugly tweet. I hope for her sake she didn't announce anything yet because she still doesn't know when it will be out, rather than knowing and not saying a thing. Then again, would it be that difficult to specify that somewhere?

I called a « July 21 fam » yesterday. Expect a plain tweet around March 29 or a bit before, like she did before that supposed May 26 release.

Didn’t she tweet the « July 21 fam » a couple of days prior to the May 26 fiasco? Maybe this is what we’ll get on the 29: a plain old tweet with the date.

Maybe a single next Friday is more realistic. If it’s HIaB, the track would be out exactly a year after its first tease. The whole March 29 got out of hand this time around: with LFL, it was just us expecting it on May 26, no official media published that date, right?

Another factor of Ariana releasing albums quickly is that she’s doing what Lana isn’t : she sometimes reuses unreleased tracks from previous records and pus them on other ones. At least, that’s what a couple of fan sites have stated.

True, if it’s really done soon (which we know nothing of) and if Interscope doesn’t interfere by saying it would be best as a fall album. At this point, i just want the damn thing, whether it’s perfect for the weather or not, if all the stars are aligned or some shit.

Really hate to be a party pooper, but with nothing in sight yet, and with all the major releases heading this summer, I am starting to think a September release is now a possibility for NFR, though I'd fucking hate that.

It's always been a «problem» with her, and with the introspective songs from NFR, it's just gonna cement that: there is such an intimacy to her songs that doesn't often translate well in big arena tours or big venues. I get that those are the ones that are most lucrative, plus she is a «big star» and needs those big arenas or festivals to satisfy her fanbase. However, she would be much more comfortable and her music would be a 1000 times better in small venues, a bit like what she did at Chateau Marmont for Blake's birthday. A small room would let her vocals be more comfortable. I sometimes feel her intimidated in those big crowds (though not as much with the LATTM tour), and if the sound logistics are bad, there is always a good chance to see her «shrink» even more behind dance moves, or backup singers.

A surprise release would be her best strategy at this point. Plus she better hurry: big releases are heading this summer. This is the meanest thing you ever said to us.

Her « distance » and mystery on social media, with times of absence, kinda helped build her image as an unusual singer, out of the box. She loves that we are filling the blanks with what she gives us and it has helped solidate her fan base. But! Like I said, when SHE starts a pre-release era, it’s her job to come through sooner than what we have here. And I say that very painfully and with much regrets since I love her with all my heart. I love her art so much, but a crash course 101 on how to promote an album could be a good idea lol.

For the first time ever with her, I’m afraid that when she finally does something, I wont be excited but will just say: « About fucking time! » There were painful moments in the LFL era but when the 2 pre-order singles got out, my hype came back. I’m sure I will enjoy NFR, but I am too tired of getting disappointed right now.

God. If only they had received an «insider's note» telling them that it was indeed released in 2 weeks... I really wish she'd surprise release the damn thing. Not super plausible, but still...

She sang a snippet a capella of HM at one concert. I know she also said UV was coming out on a date in May... which turned out to be postponed. Don't know if she announced the title at a concert though.

It would be cool if she payed Cinnamon live, like she did with Cherry pre-LFL. Or a release date would be nice. But I don't expect anything, really. She almost never spilled the beans about a project while in concert.

The hate for LFL is mainly here, on LanaBoards. Critics and many fans outside this fan base love its diversity. After HM and before NFR, I don’t mind its heavy production, the collabs or the « cringy » lyrics. Plus it’s an album meant for summer. I don’t see many collabs on NFR either. But who knows at this point?

You're probably right about her still recording. And creation is messy, it's never a straight arrow, especially for her, which i respect. I really don't mind the silent treatment between records. She could completely disappear for 2 or 3 years after that and I'd be fine with it. BUT to start an era in September with 2 singles (possibly to clean the whole Israel mess) and still not have a release date at this point? Fuck no. Take your time, Lana sweetie, but when an era starts, better have the damn thing complete in 4 months lol (though she probably thought it would be the case).

well, it's a bit of a "shortcut" way of seing things... LFL wasn't done, it was a dry period (though it doesn't seem that much dry with the present NFR era lol) for us, she was still recording, we wanted a new song and a release date. She attended Coachella (probably got high on the pot fumes), recorded the song because of the political climate at the moment and released it. But it wasn't suppose to end up on LFL, it was meant as a standalone single... but she decided to finally include it on LFL, along with her diss track IMF, and Change.

She always had a sorta a reaction when a song leaks: "Alright, you leaked it fuckers, I'm gonna make a better one". As we know, BAR was the rumoured previous title to LFL. Makes sense that she finally gets her wish, finally being able to name a record about a narcissist singer. With Jack on board, the NFR song always gave me guitar and psycheledics vibes...
