  1. It could happen if she takes a break from writing new stuff. One or two new songs plus 25 unreleased / leaked (possibly reworked?) is a strong possibility if she takes a break or is working on something time-consuming and not album-related. Like a « gift » to have us in the meantime. I get why she doesn’t releases singles of songs left on the cutting room floor: to have her options open when she works on an album (like BPBP that got included on LFL when it was meant for God knows what). Early rumours for LDR6 stated that it would be made of a couple of new songs and unreleased and unleaked ones (so Yosemite could have been on that album). But NFR became a of thing of its own and it’s most likely that the rejected songs from previous albums are out of NFR. WOOHOO! Actual news! Yep, in this era, psychics give us real info, not Lana. Needless to say more.
  2. Not likely for the sole reason that she wrote that song with Rick and, to our knowledge, NFR was completely written and produced by Jack. But... it could still fit sonically. And if she decided to include the two country songs, a folky acoustic ballad isn’t that far-fetched. So... maybe?
  3. I get the lack of excitement at this point, but it’s coming. They said something about mid-year. It’s just a very long stretch between MAC and the rest of it :/
  4. If her dancers are teasing HIaB, does it mean it's coming soon?!?! (yep, I'm thirsty for something new NFR related)
  5. Bitch, please, go!!!!! Kidding! Honestly, though, she’s bound to announce something official this month: there’s really a limit to dragging on a pre-release period without a lead and release date.
  6. We heard 3 songs and 4 snippets. And we know there’s the title track. So there are at least 5 songs we know nothing about, not even the title. That’s not bad. If something could happen...
  7. The songs you mentioned are good ones... but single material for pop radio? Not so sure. First, all the songs that are more than 4-minute long don't have a chance. Plus they have to have some upbeat to them. All the songs with too much drug references could be possibly be tossed aside by some stations. So that leaves Love (cut-down of course), Cherry and maybe Summer Bummer? West Coast should have played more on alternative music stations though. A Steven Klein photoshoot for a possible album cover gives me strong «The label doesn't want me to go low-key and natural all the way» lol. That and her recording new songs...
  8. This is the show I dream to see her in: acoustic, cute, sultry, private club type.
  9. I know it's not NFR-related at all, But I'll explain a bit what I wanted to say. I don't even blame Britney herself for the lack of liberty and control she has had over her career. She was brought too young too soon in a complex system where she was given a lot of cash and exposure. Her first album had a very specific format: she had to be the radio pop singer with both innocence and sexual innuendo. It was catchy, but sure wasn't letting her pull the strings on her career. As we all know, she had many breakdowns over the years (who wouldn't, with everything she went through), but I remember someone who was interviewed from her entourage when she was recording one of her comeback albums and her company feared she was gonna go off the rails again : she was brought in by her father, there were studio people with her all of the time with the producers, and she was escorted to her house afterwards, with her father watching over her so she wouldn't do anything «stupid». It's not really what I call creative liberty.
  10. Well, it's a weird era we are in and she can't do what she pleases. True, we have more independent music coming out, streaming (a platform that suits Lana very well) bring new cash in, and yet, the big singers bringing a lot of cash are all radio-friendly. True, BTD has done and is still doing incredibly well. But all of her albums have not sold as much or weren't streamed as much as this one (LFL is her second biggest success, despite our critiques of it here). Interscope is a big record company that gives a lot of creative outlet to their artists, and yet they are a record company and they want to make cash. They let her record with Jack (which must be a big investment; don't know for sure, but he is super popular and must cost a lot to produce a record), the songs out so far have been praised in the press and yet, there are apparently no single-friendly songs on it. They let her release a 10-minute fan track, so they kinda expect some single at some point I guess. And HIaB doesn't really do it probably. Dan Auerbach stated that Interscope wanted more single-friendly songs when they recorded UV. The only thing that stopped it from happening was Adele's producer, which was brought on board to write new things with her, and he thought the album was perfect as is. And it went number 1. With that success, Interscope let her do her «vanity project»: HM. and yet, she had to pen a single: HBTB (not a bad choice, to be honest). With LFL, she knew she wanted to come back to more «single-friendly» songs and it was decided very early on that Love and the title track would be singles. And LFL went number 1 plus it got a big tour, which probably gave her some latitude for NFR. So, she has a lot of liberties when it comes to creating, writing and recording. But she can't do what the hell she wants all the time, she has to answer to questions from her record company. And for all of us who are screaming injustice, go check Britney's career in retrospective : Lana would win Miss Liberty award anytime soon lol.
  11. Coachella never was released as a single?!? It was exactly like Hope Is a dangerous Thing: a «fan track»
  12. Yep. She teased too soon. She probably thought she would be done by the end of the year, but shit happens. My personal theory is that she submitted NFR to Interscope in January and they must have thought it was too «Low key» to their taste, especially with Jack Antonoff attached to the project. She was spotted in Jack's story, probably recording something, in February I think? With the new photo shoot for a probable album cover this month, I wouldn't be surprised if Interscope demanded at least one «single-friendly» song (she talked a little about NFr in a January interview and said it was 13-song long, with no bangers on it, a «day-to-day» and Old L.A. feel to it).
  13. LOL you really did miss A LOT. NFR has no release date yet, she will shoot the second cover this month with Steven Klein (magazine cover or NFR cover like she said she would in January?). No new snippet, no new anything NFR related. She teased her poetry book recently. NFR will probably be released mid-year like the official press release of Hope stated.
  14. I disagree with you on that one. Especially the part I have highlighted. She still has a strict vision of what an album should sound like. And she sure is ambitious and stubborn, and all of her projects have been incredible (a 13-track album with no bangers and yet produced by Jack Antonoff? Only her could pull out such a project). True, the visuals for this era are disappointing, but it kinda makes sense with what she wanted to do. True, LFL wasn't as «mood oriented» as UV or HM. And yet, if you listen to all albums from BTD to LFL, it tells a grand story. She might have lost that «edge» or «it factor» that she used to have. All of the artists that are making music for more than 5 years kinda lose that (you can't be «the hot shit» all your career, new young things will come to be the «next you»). But she has turned the tide continuously and proved she was the real deal and not some puppet of a recording studio. On a personal note, she is the only artist that tells so much of my own history through her music. Or at least, that how I feel every time she launches a new project. L relate so much through her music, and she always finds a way of integrating an element that I always loved musically speaking into her new songs. She is still incredible and I love her to death.
  15. When I saw the Disney post last year, I immediately thought about Maleficent 2, but didn't know when it was coming out. Though she is very busy, i thought it was a long time between the recording of the song and the rumored 2020 release of the film. But Disney posting this week that it was coming in October this year, it brought a very strong possibility for her song to be for that movie. Plus it must be a new one: if you heard the original soundtrack of Sleeping Beauty, except Once Upon a Dream, I don't see which other song she could cover this time lol.
  16. That’d be great but I expect more realistically a single maybe.
  17. He offered to work with her for a song or two on HM. She turned him down since she thought his vision wouldn’t fit HM. Plus she wanted to work with Rick alone. Their work on UV had some tensions from time to time. None that they couldn’t resolve, but still. So I don’t see any collab or some sort with Dan anytime soon.
  18. Don’t make me sad, don’t make me cry, sometimes love is not enough, the road gets tough, I dont know why
  19. Well since it’s not finished, it’s going to be hard to leak.
  20. Would be a neat concept,Even though she never released anything on « significant dates » that we know of, right? But I’d be here for it.
  21. Billboard did an article why we love her (https://www.billboard.com/articles/news/pride/7873862/5-reasons-lana-del-rey-is-a-muse-to-gay-fans ) . She wasn't part of that article though. She never «acknowledged us» officially. But does she need to? Sure, I'd love to have a same-sex couple or non-binary one in one of her videos. That would probably be the best way for her to do so. I see the whole LGBTQ «situation» on the same level of feminism: she doesn't talk about those things in a loud voice or in songs. She is telling her story and it's great if we see ourselves in it. But I don't expect a grand song about it, like Gaga did with Born This Way. And quite frankly, I am always a bit «concerned» when a singer has a song about «us»: is it really love and support or just sheer «I'm gonna put that out cause it"s good press»? When it's the later, it's when I feel «exploited» lol.
  22. Never thought of that. Her record company might not be super thrilled about it, but it's an interesting choice. I don't hate bonus tracks at all. But it's true that the story told on UV begins with Cruel World and ends with The Other Woman. The bonus tracks are good for the most parts, but some don't tell the same story (Florida Kilos and Guns and Roses especially). Black Beauty, is This Happiness and Flipside are in the same tone. Fine China and Your Girl could have been bonus tracks. But then again, they are complement to the story, not essential, though they are incredible songs.
  23. NFR doesn't feel summer at all to me either. Maybe this is why the «delay» of LFL didn't bother me at all in the end: the album felt super summery, with all the changes she did to it. But NFR, in summer? Girl, what didn't I hear? Plus: March begins the Spring / Summer releases. All the singles out are more upbeat. Don't know at all where NFR fits into all that. I'm sure the album will sound terrific and I will enjoy it no matter when it's out. But it might go under the radar, with the general public.
  24. I agree with you with Cinnamon. That track should have been a single at some point, but maybe she didn't release it because it doesn't sound like the rest of the album? It's true, she runs her own show, but Interscope does get involved at some point. With UV, they fet it had no hits, and she had to agree to meet Adele's producer to try to write something together. But he felt the album was perfect and Interscope let it go. With HM, she had to craft High By The Beach as a single to have her vanity project be possible. With LFL, they sat down together and decided rather quickly that Love and LFL were the two singles. I wouldn't be surprised if Interscope wanted one more «single-friendly» song to the mix. or maybe she just had new ideas. Who knows at this point?
