I think all of the songs are coalescing into something much bigger, and like @taco truck just mentioned, it seems like there are four sections to the album split up by vinyl sides, which to me is much more cohesive than whatever LFL was trying to accomplish imo.
-
All of the songs we have so far are incredibly cohesive...the last four songs might be the only bumps that ruin that cohesiveness

Just now, burthday kake said:every musical legend alive has gone thru this with their fanbases , like they were throwing tomatoes at Bob Dylan for going electric in the 60s too (they hated Jesus for telling the truth too energy), Lana is in good company, if fans are getting mad its just further proof of her legend status
idek wtf im saying atp but it feels right and stream Fingertips!!!!!!!
And it's a sign their music is becoming more sophisticated. The 60's were dylan's best albums.

She can at least feed us every now and then? If she doesn’t wanna make a new BTD/UV/HM/LFL she can always release that unreleased anthology set she previously talked about. 🤷🏻♂️ I'd take that and shut up for a while.
Like I get that from an artistic standpoint she doesn’t owe shit to us but come on…she must know at this point that her current music isn’t clicking with as many people as her discography up to NFR. From a business standpoint that is a bit problematic.
You certainly have delusions of grandeur if you think that without your support that she wouldn't have enough money to live on and support herself. I, like many people on this website, work above minimum wage, and I'm doing just fine for myself. Her managers love the music, her record label supports her, and that's all that matters! We understand that you're pressed and bitter that she follows her creative muses wherever they lead her, but I promise, you're not the center of the universe.

Just now, brooklyn bitch said:It’s crazy how people can claim to stan Lana but not understand that she’s an incredibly selfish artist. She doesn’t make music for us 😭, she makes it for herself which she has said numerous times, whether we like it or not. So if she wants to make 20 piano albums, she’s gonna make 20 piano albums!!!
Also so true, making music for one's self is totally valid and should at least be acknowledged before having meltdowns over not liking a particular direction!!

If you've hated four albums in a row from an artist, it's okay to acknowledge that they might not be for you anymore and it's also okay to stop checking for them so you don't force yourself to listen to music you hate. Born to Die and Lust for Life will always be there for you.

Just now, Poor Stacy said:SpoilerI would bet money on Sweet being the most streamed track outside of the singles and maybe Taco Truck x VB at the end. Shortest, most traditional, and at the very beginning of the album. The streaming formula

SpoilerI give myself two seconds to cry
Let it crash over me
Like the waves in the sea
Call me Aphrodite
As they bow down to me
Sunbather, moon chaser
Queen of empathy
I give myself two seconds to breathe
And go back to being a serene queenGive me a mausoleum
In Rhode Island
With dad, Grandma, Grandpa, and Dave
Who hung himself real high

Just now, Gothicula said:I’m seeing praise every single song so far; even sweet, who we all kind of said will be probably be the underdog. Am I crazy to think this might be her magnum opus ? ( haven’t listened to any leaks or snippets )
The only song left that I'm worried about hearing is Margaret. Magnum opus is subjective, but I am currently 95% confident this will be my personal favorite LDR record, dethroning "Honeymoon."

Just now, WhitehotOcean said:SpoilerSimilar vein of Fingertips, just darker and moodier in sound from what I remember

Like, we will, but you should probably stop at the library on the way home from the park as well if that's all you can add.
