If we listen to Sweet Carolina right before The Grants, those tracks are almost like sister tracks. They belong next to each other and make sense cohesively across the two albums. One closes the album one opens the next.

i like the grants better today. it's the melody i think. i don't really care for the choir singers and i've been skipping that entire 50 second intro. if someone makes an edit please let me know it isn't that their voices are bad, they're not, i just don't care for background choir singing in lana songs, it never sounds as good as it should imo

I'm gonna be that person. I like how The Grants sounds, but if she were going to name a song that, I kind of really wanted something a little heavier on the instrumentals and even more cinematic. This song sounds very churchy and is still a visual song... I like it, it's fine, I don't mind churchy but it's not my favorite opener, NFR or White Dress or Cruel World or Honeymoon still are above it for me, but I also think a song titled The Grants could've went further or did more. Lyrically, this track is kind of repetitive and doesn't really go anywhere so it'll be a skip for me after my initial full album listen. It just doesn't do a lot for me. It's there, it's cute, but meh. I'm just glad it's available now to stream, I didn't download the leaks when that happened so I only listened maybe twice before today. I still feel the same way I did when it leaked -- cute but meh, could do without it generally. Maybe it'll hit different with time once I've listened a few more times or once I've heard the full album

I thought the same thing actually, thinking again about it, since it's only meant for Brazilian fans OT of the website thing, people on ATRL seem to think boz's little secret is still happening. They're saying "he said this week, not today! so maybe! he's always had tea and he's been right, there is no source because he IS the source!" like i mean yeah but even a stopped clock is right twice a day, he's had tea but maybe his kettle was cold when he spilled that last week. plus, if the countdown is for the surprise, it'd be too late because he seemed to think we'd know this week. maybe it's the pill container merch? the whistle? but i don't think anyone wants a pill container or a whistle honestly
