My headcannon for this is that there's an original version called Empty Promises (it would fit, okay? that's the only reason why i think it, it makes sense in my brain lol) and she's saying "I'm obsessed with all of his empty promises" but she changed it to candy necklaces to make it less obvious. This would also make sense in the context of it being about Sean, since she didn't know he was engaged, he probably sweet talked her and made her promises. I don't know if Blue Banisters was about Sean, but it also could make sense in the context of that song too.
