  6. Michigan senator Gary Peters is also in the running for VP Full list of publicly mentioned options for Harris’ VP: - Michigan senator Gary Peters - Arizona senator Mark Kelly - Pennsylvania governor Josh Shapiro - Minnesota governor Tim Walz - Illinois governor J.B. Pritzker - Kentucky governor Andy Beshear - Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo - Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg
  7. I am at work and indeed did look up the wrong years - nonetheless that second point still stands! https://www.businessinsider.com/kamala-harris-vice-president-candidates-positions-israel-gaza-2024-7?amp You can’t get your hopes up, but this is a good rundown of their stances
  8. Btw, I think the VP should be Tim Walz. Second choice is Andy Beshear. The others can rot
  9. I just have to point out that this is factually incorrect In Michigan 2020, Jill Stein received 0.25% of the vote. Hillary lost by 3.35%. Jill Stein was not on the ballot in Pennsylvania or Wisconsin. These three states put Trump over the edge. Your point also assumes that the people who voted for Jill Stein would’ve automatically voted for Hillary otherwise, which is not possible to estimate and probably not true anyway.
  10. NC governor Roy Cooper has removed himself for consideration for VP. He joins MI gov Gretchen Whitmer in being two of the proposed VP picks who publicly stated they would not accept the position AZ senator Mark Kelly, MN gov Tim Walz, and PA gov Josh Shapiro have been reported to be Harris’ leading choices for VP

  13. Commerce Secretary and former governor of Rhode Island Gina Raimondo is also being considered for VP
  14. Whenever someone posts pretending to be them, they respond attempting to defend themselves and it just makes the troll do it more
  15. Well yes but info leakers have nothing to gain from posting anonymous stuff to Dbree, so if anything take it with a grain of salt or automatically assume it’s false until proven otherwise lol. Dbree is where trolls and banned LB members often congregate, because they know somebody will see it and say something here. @lanaismamom for example is responsible for many of the troll posts on there, at least recently
  16. Kentucky governor Andy Beshear and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg have also received vetting materials for VP
  17. As described in the OP, Kamala has gained the support of the majority of Biden’s delegates. She is presumptively the party’s nominee https://x.com/kamalaharris/status/1815602762870116359?s=46&t=PC_JqthBNIYi6ibjaT6EsQ
  18. It was reported that he did not receive the vetting materials the other candidates did, which is, idk kinda shocking? https://x.com/newswire_us/status/1815561299734003853?s=46&t=PC_JqthBNIYi6ibjaT6EsQ
  19. While we’ve had quite a few threads for the various events that have already happened this campaign season, we didn’t yet have one for the general election. Former President Donald Trump chose US Senator J.D. Vance to be his running mate at the Republic National Convention on July 18. The majority of the delegates won by President Joe Biden have since pledged to vote for Vice President Kamala Harris at the Democratic National Convention, to be held next month. This makes VP Harris the presumptive Democratic nominee for president. We may not know Harris’ VP pick until the convention, though sources say the following are currently being vetted: - North Carolina governor Roy Cooper - Arizona senator Mark Kelly - Pennsylvania governor Josh Shapiro - Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer - Minnesota governor Tim Walz - Illinois governor J.B. Pritzker Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is also seeking the presidency, running as an independent. Neither he nor his running mate, billionaire Nicole Shanahan, have any prior political experience. Also seeking the presidency as an independent is philosopher Cornel West, along with his running mate Melina Abdullah. Jill Stein will be the Green Party’s nominee, having also been the party’s nominee in 2016 and 2012. Chase Oliver and Mike ter Maat will represent the Libertarian Party on the ballot. The election will be held on November 5, 2024.
