  1. i personally love music which is "slow" yet abstract, hypnotizing, psychedelic, earthly, etc. so it makes sense why i feel so captivated by it, there's something very oceanic & floral about it's production, & like i said, anything which is "earthly" is something i really love, i don't get why people think it's boring & pointless in her discography when it's such a unique body of work, i do think it's a little less "accessible", when i was first becoming a true, big fan of lana, it took me a while to really get into the album, but now it's in my top 3!

    dance for money vs. disco
  3. i don't understand the trend of people severely underrating honeymoon or acting like it's boring, it may be a little bit slow & sub-dued compared to born to die, ultraviolence, or nfr, but i honestly think it's full of life & it features some of the best songs of her career, title track, mtwbt, terrence loves you, freak, art deco, religion, salvatore, the blackest day, 24, swan song... etc. it's such a floral, breezy album, yet luscious & melancholic, it makes you wonder if the critics even listened to the album honestly i think the only reason why blue banisters is being ranked so high at all is because it's new, i 100% respect it for being a body of work in which she dives deep within herself & serves a lot of honesty & vulnerability, but it has issues which i can't really look past (in my own opinion)
  4. peace & yayo they're some of my all-time favorites & they're very emotive i'd also say bad disease & try tonight, i once almost cried to oh say can you see
  5. wait... i just realized that she scolded people for leaking living legend and like a day after a snippet for the demo leaks OMG
  6. i was actually watching the trailer park interview right now and i don't think i'll ever get enough of the lizzy grant era, especially the "aka" era, which i'd say starts with fall of 2007 - early 2008 where she was working with steven mertens & making beautiful, strange, melancholic surf noir songs, while also making demos for ldrakalg & working with david kahne, as well as early 2007 where she was working with her friends, making demos for aka songs, or working with arthur lynn, 2007-2008 are definitely my favorite years of lana's career, so mysterious, nostalgic, & beautiful it's really interesting to think of certain songs and speculate when she recorded them & where she was, for example "4th of july" samples the early mix of put me in a movie so i would assume she recorded it in late 2007, so she was likely living in the trailer park, which just feels so evocative
  7. i personally think aka is perfect the way it is, i couldn't imagine anything about it being changed, i used to think the tracklisting was off-putting, but now i think it's perfect since it's so different & unique, but i can understand why some people may think that brite lites is a weak track, but i think having a track like that balances out the more "rock" inspired tracks, since i think it goes with the vibe of mermaid motel & kill kill well, the album is very diverse, yet balanced, there's "surfy" cool-toned tracks like kill kill, mermaid motel, & brite lites, "rock" inspired tracks, like queen of the gas station, for k, pt. 2, jump, & raise me up (mississippi south), ballads like oh say can you see, pawn shop blues, & yayo), & "pop" inspired tracks like gramma (blue ribbon sparkler trailer heaven), put me in a movie, & smarty, i think it's structure & soundscape is so intriguing & maybe even a little genius i will say though, i am TOTALLY here for the existence of david kahne versions of trash magic, disco, & get drunk!
  8. they're the same, the original leak was just pitched & edited
  9. i actually... don't want ldrakalg to be released
  10. @IanadeIrey i can't wait to read your essay about the album!
  11. i guess we can't say for sure, but i wouldn't be surprised if she did purchase the rights to the album
  12. i think lana owns the rights to it but it's technically "unreleased" like sirens
  13. i think the reddit leaker was confirmed to be a lanadelrey.fm mod lol i wouldn't be surprised if she has leaked a few other things before, but i don't think she's leaked a lot of stuff lana, if you're reading this, you could always leak the other aka homemade music videos & the david kahne outtakes
  14. especially since there is PLENTY of artists & celebrities who have done a lot worse than what lana has "done"
  15. imagine making a whole ass timeline about somebody's "problematic" actions... they are OBSESSED
