Earlier today, Lana Del Rey stopped at a pop-up market outside of Kinda Tropical in Austin, Texas to shop at Lonesome Wolf Vintage's & Vintage Perks' booths. She also had lunch with Cody Osbourne and other friends at La Barbecue. Lana is visiting Austin, Texas with Nikki Lane as Nikki will be performing in the city tonight.

How about nothing at all? If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything. It's one thing to say you don't like her outfit or something, sure, fine. But to start crticising her weight? Not on my forum. Body shaming will not be tolerated here, and that's final x

So, I wanted to do something interesting, with inspiration drawn from @stupidapartmentcomplex I decided to my take my results generated from my LDR Automatic Song Sorter and gather a true album ranking from them. In other words, I'm comparing what I believe my album ranking is to what the sorter shows it is. To do this, I took the number given to each song in my ranking and added them together for each album, and the album with the smallest total number would therefore be my favourite album, and the album with the largest total number would therefore be my least favourite album. To ensure all albums got a fair shot, I only totaled up the Top 9 songs from each album in the ranking, as Paradise only has 9 tracks. I tried adding up all the songs from each album, but the results were terribly skewed since longer albums such as UV & LFL have more tracks, therefore the possibility of more numbers being added to the total. So by totaling only the top 9 songs from each album, each album had an equal chance. I also found no difference in the results by removing the extra songs that went beyond the top 9 from an album in the ranking and adjusting the numbers accordingly - so if there were 5 extra songs that went beyond a top 9 between #90 and #96, I would just add 90 & 96 rather than adjusting the 96 to be 91. Again, I tried both ways, and there was no difference in the results, order-wise. I hope I explained this in a way that makes sense, because this was a really interesting project and I suggest others do this too if you have the time/motivation! So, here is what I believed my album ranking to be: UV LFL NFR BTD COTCC HM P Here is what my test results told me my ranking was, based on the song-rank numbers totaled - UV – 176 BTD – 248 LFL – 285 NFR – 314 HM – 320 COTCC - 381 P – 420 Now to analyze these results - if anything, at least I definitely am sound about what my # 1 favourite & least favourite albums are. However, I was so surprised to see Born to Die was my true second favourite album when I had put it on the lower end of my album ranking! Now that I reflect on it, I guess I do have much more of an appreciation for that album than I realised. The album is full of classics that I still love so much to this day. I suppose I thought it would be lower because there are some tracks that have become a bit dated for me just due to listening to that album for over 9 years now, but the songs that continue to be my favourites make up for it. I was also a bit surprised to see Chemtrails had a pretty large number putting it quite low on my true ranking, as I really do love the album. My thoughts are that since the album is so new, I haven't grown that deep appreciation for the tracks yet that would factor into a higher over-all album ranking. With time though, I can definitely see COTCC truly passing Honeymoon and perhaps even NFR too. Next time I do another song ranking, I'll definitely do this little experiment again too to see the differences. Anyway, this was fun. Glad to share with you all what I've done with my Saturday xx

Here are my updated results! I'm sure overtime, the COTCC songs will creep their way higher, but I tried to not the new hype about them fog my judgement -

I think the poem is just meant to be a literal nod to the little jar of butterflies in the photo as well as NFR's HIAB - happiness is a butterfly, try to catch it like every night x

I believe it's from yesterday since she's wearing the same hair clips! x

A friend texted me that about an hour ago while he was listening to the Outlaw Country station on Sirius XM, the host was talking about Lana & Nikki's duet. They play Nikki a lot on their station, and the host said she's looking into adding Breaking Up Slowly to their rotation. Very cool that this song may get some radio traction on country stations! x

Lana Del Rey: All 113 Songs Ranked, a Critics List
Elle replied to salvatore's topic in Lana Thoughts
It's also important to keep in mind that Best doesn't always been Favourite. So, you sort of need to look at the list objectively. But pretty much since Hope's release, I've acknowledged that it is technically her best song. That doesn't mean it's necessarily my favourite (it's in my top 20 though) but there's so many elements of the song that really make it a true masterpiece, and nothing less. It's her best song lyrically - hands down, no contest. Her vocals are incredible. She perfectly executes beautiful high & low notes that display her range. Not many artists can do this in the way she does. The melody is just beautiful and simple enough for anyone to digest, yet not too simple that its boring or forgettable. The production complements the song just perfectly. I know the production is a reason why some people don't like the song as it comes off a bit too simple or "boring" for some, but the song speaks such volumes on its own - it could have been an acapella track and been just as powerful. For this track, the production enhances rather than defines the song, and that's a true tell sign of a masterpiece song. A heavier production would have just drowned it and took away from its delicacy and specialness. The song is incredibly emotive. I'm a strong believer that those who don't like hope just haven't been in the situation the song is about. Once you've been in that place - feeling like you've gone crazy and that all hope you had for the world has slipped like sand through your fingers, all the way to the point where you're no longer building a house out of that sand anymore but a house out of rediscovered hope - you understand this song. You become a part of it. I intend to write like a whole essay-post on why this song is her best one day and post it in the Hope thread or something, but for now, those are my brief thoughts x- 118 replies

Lana Del Rey: All 113 Songs Ranked, a Critics List
Elle replied to salvatore's topic in Lana Thoughts
While I 100% agree that Hope is a Dangerous Thing is her best song (for so many reasons), the rest of the list is... quite questionable x- 118 replies

It looks like the lyrics there are the correct ones, unless someone just updated it? x

Wait, who thinks it's the top one?? Your transcription is definitely correct, and I thought that's what the general consensus was for the lyrics x

First look at the Man's World vinyl shared by Marina - it looks to be more baby pink than the hot pink shown in the mockup, but I honestly prefer this as I'm a sucker for baby pink:

this picture was from Ultraviolence era - 2014! I had no idea they had met before 2019. & coincidentally, they both made albums produced by Dan Auerbach that year. Iconic x
