Grimes dropped a new demo track! She made an interesting note in the video caption about dropping music as she sees fit and writing for other sub-projects separate from Grimes. “NOT A SINGLE lol just a demo. This is from an AR musical im working on (AKA NOT THE ALBUM/ NOT OFFICIAL GRIMES MUSIC//////) made the song and video yesterday so obvs majorly rough, but while im finishing my album im just gonna start casually dropping stuff as I see fit. Been doing this exercise where I try to write and produce a whole song in like ~1-2 hrs... fuck technical proficiency and whatnot. **** Also, so gna start making AR (or illustrated?) 'sub-members' within Grimes (The art angels, as it were lol). (Kinda like the Loona sub-bands X the Gorillaz?... ..psychedelic post k pop-ish fake band for my non-Grimes musical ventures) _They are the main characters from the book/ musical im working on.. (AKA im bored of being so precious abt music and also feeling boxed in by the Grimes branding and I have this whole other world that's rly fun to write for.. So I’ll save big singles and things for Grimes and casually release music more often as the AR band. ) PS… This is not her final look... but this character is named Dark.”

I merged the two threads about this together - anyway, I don't think it's her. It sounds vaaaaaguely like her, but not enough to where I can say it is. There's certain things I notice about the singer's pronunciation that just couldn't be Lana. I'm interested to see if the rapper really did say it was her on Instagram once it's up and working again x

Last night, Lana covered ‘Cry me a River’ at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, California with her pianist Byron Thomas while celebrating her guitarist Blake Lee’s birthday. Blake’s girlfriend Nikki Flores also sang with her. Bryon posted videos of the performance on his Instagram story. She previously recorded this song in 2011 with Michael Buble’s instrumental. Lana just tweeted out that she collaborated with film director Amy Berg on her project ‘The Case Against Adnan Syed’ that will premiere on HBO on March 10th. It appears this is the first of two collaborations she completed with Amy. This article from Vanity Fair confirms that Lana's track "Tomorrow Never Came" from Lust for Life will be featured in the film.

The recent article that was published noting she was "breaking up with big hair" broke my heart a little, but I'll still remain hopeful.. I mean hey, The Gucci campaign shot at the end of 2017 featured her lovely big hair (and her acrylics !!!!), and even on tour through the first half of 2018 she still tried to put in little bumps here and there, even if it wasn't as extravagant as before. It's no doubt it's harder to do because her hair is shorter, but hey, extensions exist. I'm just really hoping Steven will bring it out in her again, as the only true 2012-style hair we've gotten since 2012 are the two shoots from Steven + Gucci campaign. Lana with big hair is just so iconic x

Noooo I actually especially love Stephen because of this. He brings Lana back to her 2012-glam element with the big hair and lush makeup, and I absolutely love that side of her. It always puts me in my feels of the good ol' days. I really do hope they keep with the same aesthetic they've done in the past. x

I'm very sure this is for another magazine cover and Lana just forgot about one of them, but if it is the case of an album cover, I'm highly curious as to the possibility if NFR will have a deluxe edition.. perhaps with an alternate cover. Or a special edition cover released on vinyl at Urban Outfitters, like they did with Honeymoon & Ultraviolence. A deluxe edition would be nice though, especially since it seems like she's taking extra time on the album compared to what was originally anticipated. x

Lana just tweeted out that she will be shooting again with Steven Klein for V Magazine!! Contrary to her tweet, this could mean her 3rd cover with V Magazine x Steven Klein. Additionally, this could also mean the album cover, but I doubt that.

For anyone concerned about it not being worldwide, I'm sure it will be. I'm sure she made the comments about the SF store hinting that she is looking to do a signing at a bookshop. She acknowledged to these fans that she will send some to Argentina & Brazil -
