  1. She hasn't changed her own aesthetic and I doubt she ever will. People like her because her general aesthetic remains throughout her exploring of new sounds. Each album is its own entity, but if you listen to AKA through UV, it's like one continuous story.
  2. Does anyone know where I can find decent quality Flo photoshoots? I'm trying to make some album covers but I'm finding shit
  3. She hasn't been lazy lately. I'm optimistic. The tour has been rather clean, more interesting than her last, two videos have been shot, she's been active on social media, and we have a single coming in weeks. Thennnnn we'll see if she's "lazy" later.
  4. I think I'm less excited for the song itself, and just really excited to hear what the album will sound like
  5. @@HunterAshlyn http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/la-ca-ms-florence-and-the-machine-20150531-story.html#page=1 "Songs started coming together for a concept album about a witch that goes on trial for murder in Hollywood — "like 'The Crucible: The Musical,'" Welch said. Yet the plan changed after she returned to England to work with Markus Dravs, whom she'd selected to produce the album after his work with Coldplay, Björk and Arcade Fire. "I was handing him songs like 'Which Witch'" — it survived as a bonus track on the deluxe edition of "How Big How Blue How Beautiful" — "and he was like, 'No, no — you can't do that,'" Welch remembered with a laugh."
  6. I think we all appreciate your extensive music knowledge, but dear god, I have no words. I really don't.
  7. Yeaaaaa I saw that as well. He seemed harsh about the whole thing. Like, not only was he against it, he flat out said it wasn't going to happen.
  8. I'm very pleased with this album. I'm sure the more I listen to it, there'll be tracks I skip or jump to immediately, but I have to say, this is the first album in a while that I've been able to listen through repeatedly and enjoy each song as they come. Standouts for me are definitely HBHBHB, Queen of Peace, Mother (great album closer), and Make Up Your Mind. I wasn't aware of this, but Flo said in an article not too long ago that Which Witch was originally intended for a concept album that revolved around witchcraft and witch trials. Which Witch is a standout track as well, and I think she would have executed a concept album like that successfully. It wasn't until Dravs came into the picture that he disliked the idea.
  9. Am I the only one that gets some Rolling Stones, Stevie Knicks, and Fleetwood Mac vibes from this record? I'm especially hearing it in Mother and Third Eye, respectively.
  10. Pure Feeling and Conductor
  11. I wanna be confident we'll get something like this again
  12. Yes, Lana could go indie, but I think that would be an extremely short-lived success. Can we talk about how it's basically necessary for artists like Lana to do promo and what not to sustain a career in general? If she just shits out albums with little to no support in terms of promo, videos, etc, she's not going to have the stable means to continue making music. And then what? You'll cry how she should've done more promo
  13. Tropico made sense, as Paradise was conceptually sound. Not that UV isn't, I just don't think it lends itself to a short film the same way Paradise did
  14. It bothers me that it's listed that way on iTunes. I suppose it'll either be fixed or I can do it myself when it's released
  15. She knew that what she said was going to be taken as truth. And with two videos shot, as well as the tour ending in June (break for promo, hopefully?), I'm confident we'll get it before the end of the year. And I say that because I also need an official release date. But I think all signs point to the fact that we're relatively close to getting the album.
  16. Exactly. Idky people bitch so much over release dates (I'm talking about most every fandom). It's not like she had a giant mishap like Azealia Banks, so stop the dramaaaaa
  17. So according to the physical deluxe, Witch Which isn't a demo?
  18. Best: Shades of Cool, West Coast, Pretty When You Cry Worst: Money Power Glory, Fucked My Way Up to the Top, Guns and Roses
  19. No one believes me, but I absolutely swear she said in the video "as soon as May 1st." So she wasn't wrong
  20. I really think so, as well. I don't believe it should be equated to BtD entirely.
