rnr doesn’t suit the album at all IMHO it fits better an Exchange-themed EP As for the track list to me it’s really smart cos the first half talks about partying with your girls and it’s very upbeat ad fresh, while the second half is more emotional and focuses about love and relationships (also the fact that they are separated by Taxi is kinda cool) They flow really well together

ok so Love is saved just bc she names Verona... like literally To Be Human, End Of The Earth and Enjoy Your Life are the best songs. None of them compares to the highlight of EH for me tho. They're still better than Superstar, Baby and Orange Trees. True is ugly. Handmade Heaven I can see liking it better in the future overall she sings way too high and it gets kinda boring. Like your register is supposed to be used across all the notes? her vocals are quite repetitive for this, but maybe Fear is gonna bring us a wider variety of notes. im happy she chose SS and OT as singles cos they're probably the worst songs and it's kinda better to know that the record is not like that? the production doesn't feel cheap but it sure does feel like it goes nowhere. it's not nearly as cohesive as E•MO•TION (just to name a pop masterpiece). like how does baby work with End of the Earth? how does Orange Trees work with To Be Human? it looks like, to me, she just threw all the songs she had completed into the project, because I don't believe she singled out these songs bc she felt like they connected well. they don't im kinda waiting for fear seeing how things turned out

I just heard True and it’s cute but the production is bland as fuck and it looks like she wanted to add some hip-hip beats to appease to the gp which idk how I feel about it As for the rest it’s extremely subpar to other pop masterpieces like E•MO•TION and I kinda wish she had a clearer idea of the sound she was going for cause this it seems to me she tried to take on a genre that not only isn’t hers but doesn’t let her express her true potential. It looks like she wanted to replicate EH with a duller, more watered down sound and little to no genuine social critique/satire which is what made her famous in her first place

that was literally my point... she was saying the exact same things in Froot I may have been overly hyperbolic but it's true (I've been saving all my summers for you), Froot was all about being changed and a new person and grown and having different goals etc. like its the same shit. also im giving it a lot of thought bc this summer she was on twitter making a big deal of literally every single word people were saying

wannabe is iconic but when you go to the root of it it's literally a dried out chorus intertwined with a faux rap inaudible part. like there are literally millions of pop songs that she could cover and she heads to the least interesting one of them
