  1. My boarding school theory:

    1) She was sent away to a boarding a school (or exclusive private school) for some reason. Whether it be for sizzling academics or because she was in the pits of alcoholism, we will never know.

    2) In order to help "shape" Lana Del Rey, she released "alcoholism" as the reason for her going to boarding school.

    3) It was probably a known fact in her area that she went away for school, but it was never public knowledge as to what the true reason was.

    4) AND THE BEST PART. The reason people from her town aren't flocking to the internet to expose her "alcoholism" as a lie, is because they don't know. Seeing as they never knew the true reason behind her leaving, or they were lied to about why she left, they will accept "alcoholism" as the reason in the same why the people of Lana boards will......skeptical, but "ok, could be."

  2. Im going to be brutally honest here so im getting ready to run :bye3:

For one,  I am not entirely convinced Ultraviolence will remain the album title.

Second, there is no way in hell she is going to even make a peep in an interview about the album until February.

Third,  We wont hear a single until August 2014

Fourth, We wont have an album until November 2014.

    ill escape now :bye2:

  3. I just burned Tropico on 1080 HD onto a dvd

    :lordejesus:

    It shall live on.

What is all this talk about changing her name ........... :horror:??????
I think you all need to take a hit of mary or take a shot because this crazy talk is too much :judgingu2:

    :candy:

And I dont think she will reuse any songs that have leaked.....more matter how much love and passion I have for some of them :suicide:

  4. I think everyone needs to calm down. This was not meant to win an academy award or change the world based on its flawless script and plot-line.

This was supposed to be visually captivating, and let us see what Lana saw when she was writing Born To Die and Paradise.

    :bye3:

  5. I see it like this:

The Garden of Eden = Paradise = L.A. (the way she expected it to be)

Lana said that The Garden of Eden turned into the Garden of Evil, which is the Land of Gods and Monsters, which is L.A.

Remember the line in "Radio" where she sings: "Now I'm in LA and it's Paradise"

I think the Garden of Eden represents the way Lana imagined it Hollywood/LA to be with Marilyn, Elvis, etc. all being part of it.

She looses her innocent and childish view of it as soon as she's confronted with the truth, she basically took a bite of the truth. Her eyes were opened.

Could not have said it better myself, my thoughts exactly.

    :

  6. When I think about "Ultraviolence", im not quite sure what visuals to associate with it.

I think once we get a sneak-peek of the visuals behind "Ultraviolence" we will get a sense as to what direction shes going.

I know she said shes going for a "stripped-down" feel....but...

    we shall see.

    --more--

SOOOOO do I get to see Tropico on Vevo tomorrow or what :grinds:

  7. I can't wait to see the scene with Marilyn, Elvis, and Jesus.

I have a feeling that particular scene is going to have subliminal and references, and its going to be symbolic on soooo many levels........

This scene is going to be iconic. :whitney:

I have to tell you guys, I also feel like with all of this "ULTRAVIOLENCE" talk...i have been really thinking about what Lana will do next.

I have this strong feeling that either somewhere within the premiere madness or following the premiere...
......she is going to start hinting more and more of whats to come.

    2xHsjfq.gif

EDIT: Just read the new ULTRAVIOLENCE confirmation topic.....this is funny that i posted this lol....my feeling was correct...i suppose

  8. oh my christ I need to get off of this thread right now....I'm not strong enough for this.

Reading all of this Young and Beautiful hate.....

    2xHsjfq.gif

When i started reading that people didn't like Summertime Sadness i was like :willcut:

    ....then I was like :xcry:

This thread i just ....I cant.... :icant2: Im not built for this.

  9. I'm kind of worried about her next album, because I didn't like Paradise all that much when compared to Born To Die. The songs were nice, but they all sound kind of samey and it's hard for me to point at the best one. For some reason, my mind chooses to think about Cola and Gods and monsters as the same song.

Ride is okay, but not that great...and so on. :pft:

I like AFFA, but the repetition of the title is ridiculous. I found it beautiful when I heard it first time, but then I was like "Okay Lana, we get it: they were angels forever, forever angels... can we move on with the lyrics? Thanks". I feel like she hammers the point too hard into listener's head. :suicide:

Ok hold on slow down , slow down :smokes3:

AFFA is definitely not the finished version, and im sure the "angels forever, forever angels" is used as filler space until Lana added more layers of lyrics.

And......I guess I like the Paradise songs in a different way than I like the BTD songs. I dont think I could point to the "best" song on BTD either, but that's just me.

    That my 2 cents

    :bye2:
