I didn’t buy the vinyl because i had no idea if i would even like the album. Now i love the album and the vinyl is sold out I guess I’ll just buy the inevitable complete 3 act vinyl boxset for $300 which will no doubt be made.

After a couple listens…..the album is pretty good, and parts are still growing on me. I like that’s it’s not so much “disco dance” but more disco funk/house. First and third of the album is the strongest. It opens really well, Cozy is SO good, Alien Superstar is an obvious single, and Break My Soul is amazing. Sopha, Cuff It and Energy are a little meh, though they could grow on me. Virgos Groove is nice though, a bit long but i like how changes as it goes along. Everything from Move onwards is amazing, the last half of the album is strongest imo. Heated, Thique, Mind, America…..wheeeew….so good. Give it a week and it will probably end up as my second fav from her tbh.

Yeah Hold The Girl is good. Very late 90’s/early 2000’s sounding British pop. A bit Eurovision too, she seems to be going very unapologetically campy pop this era, more on the nose than her debut (which also had elements of that).

I think it’s a little unfair to pin everything on Elon. People simply grow and change, she was 20 or whatever when she first came out, it’s been many years, she got a kid, she grown into an adult….shit changes, she’s not gonna be the same person, people rarely are. She seems “the same” to me for the most part, she’s just more and more fucking useless with album roll outs the older she gets that’s all

But that’s the issue…. everything lately is just…..fine. Why did she stop bringing the fire? Coochie sounds like Gwen Stefani 2003. In a bad way.
