  1. Whatever floats your boat Keep splitting us apart into smaller subcategories and pointing fingers at every other race I guess. See if that causes world peace
  2. Senorita you realize white people braided hair in Europe long before they ventured off to Africa right... Also in terms of religious and sacred garments, why do people wear uggs and moccasins for? Is that not cultural appropriation? Also why are white people allowed to wear veils/head scarfs, seeing as it's appropriation of Muslim culture? Yes you can argue that everyone has worn a headscarf at one period of time for the three main religions, as was everyone wearing sacred fabrics and such before we moved on from that, but seeing as Muslims are the only ones who practice it now, that means it's their culture. All I'm saying sis is you can arguing that wearing crosses as a fashion statement is bad. Go to the Met Gala and yell at them for their heaven theme they did last year. There's so many things with religious and sacred backgrounds that we use nowadays that the amount of angry people would be endless. But again, before everyone tells me off again, DM if you actually wanna talk sis
  3. Anyways..... June? that's too far away Ugh also she looked cute last night
  4. @@YUNGATA @@Elle can you just give us all warning points, including Valerie, so she can shut the fuck up, please
  5. Okay this is my last response seeing as you just want to fight. Pretend you slapped me and get it over with sis and then move on with your day. Thanks Anyways...... When's Lana's next concert date??
  6. I'm just saying eyeliner is as symbolic to Egyptian culture as anything being mentioned as being appropriated, and yet, no one is speaking on the matter. But I know people have alot of feelings in keeping their culture to themselves, so even if I do shed a light on the subject, no one would want to hear it because they've already solidified their idea on what's okay and what isn't. Also I did do research, and it's been less than 40 years people have been talking about appropriation. It just saddens me to see the world wanting to split everyone up. Next thing you know everyone will be getting sent back to their home country and no one will be allowed to leave because we need to keep our "seperate cultures" alive. I wouldn't necessarily say appropriation is anything of value as a moral understanding, simply it's a tool being used by the higher ups so that everyone is against eachother and mad and not thinking because they're too busy arguing so that they can do what they want to do while the world is in chaos. Same thing with all these new gender labels. Once we get rid of gender labels, races, etc. We can truly move forward as one and stop treating eachother differently. But the world doesn't want that. It just makes me sad tbh. I'm sorry if my opinion hurt you though, it's just my opinion :/
  7. I mean again though, if we go into that direction, then none of us should use math. It's part of Arab culture, and most Americans nowadays are very Islamophobic. Think of it like this; so it's okay for Americans to appropriate THAT part of arab culture because it helps them, yet they cannot appreciate the rest? See where I'm going with this. Or you can say no one who isn't Egyptian should use eyeliner because it was used as a symbolic beauty for the Queen's and Pharoahs in Egypt, and technically you're appropriating one part of their culture for your own benefit. If we REALLY start pinpointing who is appropriating what culture for their own benefit while leaving out the rest of that culture, then the world would be headed for a more chaotic state than it's already in. But yeah imma end the topic here before I get a warning point. To get back on topic, I'm sad Lana didn't sing cinnamon
  8. Oh I was speaking more so from a place of understanding and a hope for the betterment of society, where as you're taking it from a place of "authoritarian ego" my friend. Everything that's under the sun in HUMAN culture and you can't change that. Unless you want to seriously spend your days checking what culture made what and only letting them use it, meaning you and me can't use philosophy, only the Greeks can. Also you and me can't use math, only the Arabs can. Etc. Etc. See how ridiculous it is when you start cookie cutting everything out of human history only to suit one specific culture? It's tedious and counterproductive to peace. But again go off sis, tell me how big my ego is, even though you're clearly experiencing signs of being frustrated and angered, hence why you started your statement with "I don't need your bullshit" rather than a valid, mature response, and now your ego is on high alert to try and insult me in every which way so that your fabricated transparent moral code and reality are not under fire.
  9. I'm not joking, the more differences we find in eachother, the more we let one race do one thing and not the other, the more we see eachother as divided sub categories rather than one whole species, the more problems will arise and the more people will not get along. Peace in terms of religion, race, skin color, etc. Will only come once everyone can conceptualize that the skin color and race you were born into wasn't your choice, therefore should not dictate your life, and that we all share one culture; human culture. The world is a melting pot, so instead of trying to obsess over keeping your food seperate from eachother like a child who doesn't want their corn and peas to touch, we got to realize we can only move forward when all the parts are moving together as a whole. You can argue whatever you want, I'm simply speaking for the future fate of humanity. We can either all segregate eachother and turn back time to a more volatile time where everyone only did what their race did, or we can accept and appreciate eachothers cultural offerings to humanity and choose the best out of all of it, and move forward as one beautiful race. I choose the later.
  10. I hope one day in the future, the generation of the time will look back and be like Person 1: wow, what primitive creatures they were. They let their DNA and skin color dictate who could wear and practice what. Person 2: I know! They preached for equality and for an end to racism, yet practiced shaming eachother for trying to incorporate eachothers cultures into their lives! Person 3: no wonder it lasted so long! Imagine being a hypocrite and saying you're against racism yet also having the balls to crucify someone for wearing something because of the color of their skin and their background! That IS racism Person 4: thank God we realized we were all human and all practiced HUMAN CULTURE because we are all one of the same species. On a sidenote is the concert over yet
  11. I don't know actually, I'd say her rendition of Heart Shaped Box she sang live was honestly one of her best belts yet! The most recent things I've seen from her she only sang about 50%, the rest were slut drops (pardon my term it's 2019 and I still dunno what they're called ) if you can send me some recent videos though, I'd be very thankful also someone needs to do a comparison video of her singing songs in 2012 vs 2019. I feel like we're the only fandom who doesn't do that
  12. @@UltraHeroin I think the best example would be Ariana Grande vs Aretha Franklin tbh! I love Ariana to death but there has been a dramatic change in her tone and abilities, she's still an AMAZING vocalist, but for the past couple of years her range in terms of highest notes has gone down when belting. Mind you she can still use whistle tone which is a completely different register, but that doesn't mean she isn't slowly but surely losing her voice from her overuse of being nasally and almost constantly singing in a falsetto (Mariah is the perfect example that has shown even if you lose your head voice belting abilities you could still use your whistle register because it's just your vocal chords being tightly pressed together) Now look at Aretha, she literally BELTED like no one could and kept her voice well into her 70s. It sounds weird, but when you sing in a lighter tone like Lana or Ariana, you're doing more damage and taking more from voice. Hope this kinda sheds some light! This is a diss to no singer I love all the ones I listed so no one fight me!
  13. You do realize the more breathy, nasally, airy, and more head tone she uses, the more she won't be able to sing right? Why do you think Britney, Whitney and Mariah all lost their voices? I mean mind you Britney and Whitney were also smokers, but all three had unhealthy singing habits by always either using falsetto, being breathy, or being nasally and using head voice. Now Brit Brit can't even sing (still love her tho) Mariah can't even hit a proper C5 (she used to go as high as like an F7 I'm pretty sure) and Whitney almost couldn't hold a note in the end of the career. It just sucks all these artists pick up bad habits to sound different instead of singing properly and using a mix of everything. I haven't heard Lana belt or properly sing since like 2013 and I don't want my girl to lose her voice
  14. EQ is a real thing some people are gifted with but be a jealous bitch and go off I guess.
  15. I want Lana to pull a Honeymoon music video and just post cinnamon on picosong or something and make a private instagram account with the link
  16. I legit thought it was going to be news about some sort of slime being discovered on pizza that was being served or something
  17. Yeah sadly I was out looking for my people my whole teen life, so I pretty much settled for whatever shit came my way, and that's what most people do not understand; mass manipulaters can sense when you are weak and in need of TLC, they prey on those kind of people. I was out searching for love and I'd wonder why I always end up with shit, until I kept getting hurt and eventually learned my lessons. Now I love being alone, and FINALLY have good friends. I didn't search for them, they just came in the best situations. If you're completely grounded in yourself, the good will come to you. If you're completely insecure, the bad will come to you to prey on that. I just hope Lana breaks out of this rotten cycle soon. Being sound by yourself is truly one of the greatest things ever Omg Dina literally is the perfect example I feel so bad for her tho...
  18. Some of us are just gifted with gut feelings, and sadly some of us don't possess that trait but I feel like the more people live life (hopefully) the more they learn from their experiences and what the common denominators are and how to spot shit in people, although I know a couple people who are in their 40s and still can't sense danger or bad in people even if it was tattooed on their forehead some people just never learn sadly
  19. They just seem so hollow. And to those saying "let's not judge Lana's friends they make her happy" 1. It's a forum.... opinions are cash here.... 2. Just because people make you happy doesn't mean they're good people... 3. Some of us have higher emotional quotient and can sense when people are trash, I'm sorry if you lack that attribute and hope you work on it. Also funny enough, there's one person here speaking on the subject that I've personally seen eat through three friend groups in the last three years... Very strange...
  20. You realize there's a hand full of artists who have self released their shelved albums all while being under contract, right.... Unless Lana signed over all the rights of her music to Interscope, then she's a dumb bitch and deserves it
