Celebrities owe us nothing, but if you can see how history has turned out, that statement means nothing. People have died from the public wanting too much from them, and it won't stop. So it's not that Lana owes us nothing, it's that the idea and framework around how people treat fame is fucked up as a whole and society needs to reconsider.

I just wanna say How To Disappear is one of the best songs lyrically off NFR. Hear me out: I know you guys love when Lana uses big words and tries to make sentences sound fancy shmancy like HIADT, for example: There's a new revolution, a loud evolution that I saw Born of confusion and quiet collusion of which mostly I've known A modern day woman with a weak constitution, 'cause I've got Monsters still under my bed that I could never fight off But the simplicity HTD possesses, while also painting a vivid picture, is honestly why it's one of my favorites. It's not TRYING too hard like Hope. Don't get me wrong I love Hope, but I do feel at times Lana phrased things the way she did so she'd be seen as some edgy, elaborate, modern day Sylvia Plath or intriguing poet. Whereas HTD: Jim met me down at the training yard Got cuts on his face 'cause he fought too hard I know he's in over his head But I love that man like nobody can He moves mountains and turns them to ground again And I watched the guys getting high as they fight For the things that they hold dear To forget the things they fear I think maybe because it's truthful writing, that's also autobiographical, it's just one of my favorites. No pretentious words, no exaggeration, just storytelling. Truthful storytelling. They paint the perfect picture of Lizzy back in New York. Also the end, where she talks about her plans for the future. I don't know, there's just something so beautiful about the song. As I said, I know most of you will attack me because you're in love with how artistically intricate Hope is, but I truly stand by my statement that HTD has some of the best storytelling of the entire album. I like both songs, but I really cannot wait for HTD. I know it's going to be one of my favorites

Again excuse your mouth Britney had complete creative control over her dance moves, music videos, concerts, fashion, etc. And wrote Everytime, one of her greatest songs, on the piano along with the ballad Someday (I Will Understand). Also don't forget since 2007 she's been forced to keep making the same music and continue in that route with the conservatorship her father and management have over her. That's why Britney had a second meltdown at Disneyland in 2010. She's been worked to death this past decade, and before they owned her, she wanted to go into a more creative route with her music. She wrote almost an entire album that was said to be released called Original Doll, which got scrapped by her managers, and then wrote another entire album that got scrapped and they put out blackout instead. So don't disregard her just because YOU don't like her. She's accomplished more than you or me ever could dream of. Also don't forget, Lana was making pop songs too for A LONG time. Britney is a legend.
