  1. anyone has the deets on the lust/wrath shorts from the fuck it i love you video?
  2. literally listened to NFR! once & immediately bought tix for this thing
  3. wait, what? i always suspected she's not straight, but this is news to me. like, confirmed?
  4. the OU cover would be okay if it was just her & the text was placed differently (like, diagonally as in the main cover) also lol @ her calling it "laurel canyon to the max" on twitter, what did i say
  5. lol irl @ the UO cover. also, i don't get witchy vibes at all from that, i get silver lake shaman: low effort edition vibes
  6. i'll have to travel, but idk which town to pick
  7. something i just remembered - idk if someone mentioned it or not, i *won't* read back on 187394 pages looking for it, sorry - but in the live stream before the portugal show, when she mentioned recording her own death after a series of near accidents, she mentioned "almost breaking my arm in this fake surfing thing" & now i wonder if she was referring to the fake surfing she does in the video with mr muscle guy.
  8. he's the grandson of jack nicholson, who was a significant figure in the hollywood counterculture of the 60/70s; why she picked him specifically is anyone's guess. pretty sure the burning land represents the california fires, yeah. she posted a lot about them when the last crisis was ongoing, so maybe she was affected/inspired by them. not the first time they inspire LA writers/artists. idk if the sky is a direct reference to rockwell or just to painting in general, bc it's not in rockwell's painting style at all. she mentioned painting a while ago so maybe she painted it herself? lol idk. i don't think the photo itself was photoshopped; imo the different light in lana's face is intentional and maybe done in post-prod to highlight her from the rest of the (p busy) cover.
  9. honestly this board can be sf annoying. is2g some people are more into whining than into lana herself. wait until aug 30, listen to the fucking album, and if you still hate all of it by then - the sign out button is on the upper right corner. following my own advice & taking a break from this shithole now.
  10. lol right? i don't even dislike that picture, but i'm glad she's taking risks rather than using something that bland for the cover. good thing she dgaf about ANY of our opinions tbh,
  11. okay, but minus the guy the cover is kinda iconic: the painted on sky, the california fires in the background, "you lose your way just take my hand / you're lost at sea, then I'll command your boat to me again"
  12. not bothered by the lack of car - still a vehicle, but a sea one. makes sense. surprisingly like the comic book style of the letters. like her dramatic pose & how the neon yellow nails stand out. hate that the guy is featured so prominently - takes us more space in the front cover than lana herself + also in the back cover? also, why him? so he's some wannabe actor who also happens to be jack nicholson's grandson. why should i care?
  13. ok, so i'm bored so i sleuthed a lil bit. the exact coordinates point to the Ronald F. Deaton Civic Auditorium, which is indeed part of LAPD HQ. anyway, i googled the guy's name to see if there was anything significant about it, and p much the 1st result i got was some random girl's google review saying: long story short, we're here trying to find hidden meaning in a fucking necklace when the little b probably just went to the store and asked them to inscribe LA's coordinates & they just used some generic ones and not something she specifically picked
  14. cinnamon girl is an iconic neil young song, so i'd def possible she called it that imo. not the 1st time she referenced his songs
  15. lmao she actually said fricking at least once during her swiss show (something like "you guys are fricking amazing") and it sounded so... wrong lol
  16. 1. the swearing in cherry makes the song 2. the rhcp vibe is in the psych-y guitars & simple yet effective riff in vb; listen to john frusciante's guitar playing, you'll get it. it's hard to know if it's a consistent theme in nfr or not bc, uh, the album isn't out yet 3. stop taking every single one of her comments re: album inspirations at face level. this same shit happened in honeymoon era when she said the album felt "jazzy" to her & people expected a literal crossover with jazz. she can be inspired by something but not downright imitate or copy it
  17. yeah. i don't think the visuals are exactly bad & they fit the songs' mood, but they def felt like an unconvincing imitation of lana's old videos. (+ the repetition of the same highway clip over and over bothers me.)
