  1. Hush. UV is my favorite album and I don't care much about promo. I do hope she puts a bit more effort into videos this time around, though. I love the UV videos, but there was potential to do a lot more with the album visually.
  2. Imagine a Lana visual album with videos directed by: Anthony Mandler Woodkid Sofia Coppola Harmony Korine David Lynch David Fincher Jake Nava (Shades of Cool and a couple of the BEYONCÉ vids) One homemade directed by herself A talented, unknown director
  3. I wish she could just give us a release date for the first single Although, I could see it being one of the first exclusives when Apple Music goes live next week. She also followed one of the guys from VICE, so maybe it will premiere there as a follow-up to UV to start the new era.
  4. I would actually say the entire album is dream pop apart from Old Money, which is more orchestral. Dream pop is just a very shoegazy form of indie rock. Beach House is a popular example.
  5. A mixture of the two, I believe. The first two sentences are lyrics and the rest is Lana talking about loving sailing, IMO.
  6. I hope those are lyrics. I love her lyrics that reflect on modern American society.
  7. I'm hoping for a tempo change like that as well. She's so incredible at crafting a psychedelic haze in her songs.
  8. I cannot contain myself. It's so difficult yet kind of exciting waiting for the first song when there's no release date
  9. I worried about this at first, but she seems far too excited about the album. Dark side of the music business aside, Lana loves creating music and sharing it with her fans and seems to believe that she has made something quite great in HM.
  10. So many familiar ones. "Lies...eyes" "Fire...higher" "Don't turn around" "You're young and wild." Plus the grammar mistakes. It can't be real.
  11. Nah. I think it could outsell it WW in the long-run if Lana does more with the era, but it won't debut with such a big week.
  12. I love that her labels have just accepted that she does whatever the fuck she wants to
  13. I think she loved UV as an album, but it was recorded in a rather dark time for her emotionally. She probably moved on quickly after the release as a result of that. She also hates to promote and Interscope kept signing her up for TV/big radio programs, so she continually backed out.
  14. Lana definitely had to fight to get UV released since Interscope didn't want her to. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/how-lana-del-rey-fought-to-get-her-radical-ultraviolence-lp-released-20140718
  15. I love the dichotomy of the two LA streets that Lana references in the lyrics. Wilshire Blvd is a very glamorous road while Pico Blvd is much sparser and leads to run-down parts of the city.
  16. That's what I meant, though. He's great doing one track per album, but it would be too redundant if he were to produce a string of tracks.
  17. He's great when it comes to one track per album, but his production tends to become too monotonous beyond that.
  18. I'm so happy that she is still continuing to use guitars. Sounds like she will be delivering on her promise of blues meets soft rock.
  19. I wish we had a release date for the song....the anticipation is killing me.
