  1. Sunlight, new type of flower, outdoor scenery (the beach, maybe), and Lana in her usual cover pose but smiling this time. Imagine how perfect.
  2. It would be really cute if Francesco shot the album cover, considering this album seems to be about her finding happiness/love. And his pictures for Galore were incredible.
  3. I always used to find new music randomly on YouTube and found Video Games soon after it was posted and began picking up steam. I've been hooked ever since. Exactly what I meant. There's nothing wrong with discussing more vapid topics, but it's the obnoxious manner of some people's delivery that is irritating.
  4. At the risk of sounding like a hipster, I really miss the small community of Lana fans pre-BTD who focused on the meaning of the music rather than trivial topics like popularity.
  5. I keep trying to discuss the technicalities of the music, but the conversation keeps regressing to the stan vomit you referenced. It's quite frustrating. Several other members were participating constructively, to be fair. I just think certain members should be addressed directly.
  6. Um, she said Honeymoon would differ from Ronson's usual sound in that it would explore a sound closer to the "golden age of jazz with a little bit of soft grunge."
  7. Well, duh, it's rooted in black culture. But that doesn't mean it will have urban beats. Imagine Nina Simone or Billie Holiday with hip hop beats.
  8. I don't know why I respond to your trolling. Ronson produces as many rock albums as he does soul. Back to Black is one of my favorite albums and was inspired by the 60s girl band blues records. Lana described this next one as classic jazz meets soft grunge...aka jazz fusion...aka jazzy rock music. She probably just meant the orchestration of BTD.
  9. There have been multiple errors on the last couple of pages, but everyone is ignoring them so that this will finally end
  10. No, she has said several times that it was meant to be a classic rock-esque album but that it ended up being too derivative of that era. Cinematic and spiritual, yes, but absolutely not acoustic as the final product. The demos themselves weren't even acoustic. And I highly doubt that Ronson will be bringing the hip hop beats back with Lana. You're setting yourself up for major disappointment. It's going to be a jazz fusion album.
  11. Updated the OP. If anyone has the quote from earlier in the year about The Other Woman cover carrying over to the next record, let me know!
  12. Kill Kill - 7 Queen of the Gas Station - 6 Oh Say Can You See - 8 Gramma (Blue Ribbon Sparkler Trailer Heaven) - 4 For K, Part 2 - 6 Jump - 3 Mermaid Motel - 9 Raise Me Up (Mississippi South) - 5 Pawn Shop Blues - 3 (+) Put Me in a Movie - 8 Smarty - 1 (-) Yayo - 5
  13. Anyway. Lana's early descriptions of her albums are always so off. I'm interested to see what this one actually ends up being, considering she has already contradicted herself in descriptions thus far. Jazz meets soft grunge vs. more similar to BTD than UV. As long as she sticks to indie rock, and preferably goes a little more upbeat with this one, I'll be satisfied. I trust Ronson, though. He's a musical genius, especially when combining jazz/blues and soft rock. Maybe she just meant it had more orchestration than UV? Or I wouldn't be surprised if she was just misquoted and was talking about Big Eyes being more similar to Born to Die and Paradise.
  14. I meant a live performance in which I could hear her since the fans are usually so damn loud. And the live studio recording was far superior and organic, IMO. Her vocals were so incredible on UV and proved that she wasn't a product of Pro Tools.
  15. I just want a performance in which I can actually hear Lana singing this era.
  16. We're making some great progress here. Shades Of Cool - 38 (-) West Coast - 42 (+)
  17. As much as I would love a picture like that to be the cover, the hair and outfit seem to indicate that it is indeed a behind-the-scenes shot from Galore.
  18. Apparently, the album artwork is already finished as well? http://www.theguardian.com/music/2015/jan/07/lana-del-rey-reveals-details-for-new-album-honeymoon Hoping for something shot by Francesco that is similar to the Galore shoot by the ocean.
